But they made the mistake of tolerating other beliefs so eventually the others dominated and persecuted Catholics even in Maryland when they became the majority.

For a time. But public opinion went against that sort of thing eventually, and the 14th Amendment, requiring states to observe our rights, made it illegal even for states to persecute people for their religious beliefs.

Our history is one of perfecting democracy; we didn't have freedom for all at our founding.

Your mistaken interpretation, you yourself are attacking me
No, I am not in any way “attacking” you. I am simply stating what I have seen in your posts. Where is the love in a post to a Catholic when you say “are you one of those who kneels in front of statues and prays to them?” I might disagree with some of what others do, but I would never say such a thing.

That about to pray to statues wasn't it a joke?

But the post to which I was responding said that "the Founding Fathers wanted to be a convention of Protestant groups." Charles Carroll of Maryland, a Roman Catholic, was among the Founding Fathers.

I didn't want to say joke, the correct sentence was

To pray to Saints (dead saints) wasn't a question simply?

That sentence doesn't make any sense as written. If you wanted to ask about praying to Saints you should have said something like "Please explain how praying to Saints works." That is at least polite.

In any event, I don't see the love in what you said. We don't pray to Saints in my church, but I wouldn't say such things as you did to those who do. I have visited Catholic shrines, have lit candles.

Because I am Protestant and I see my fellows being rude with both, I don't like it.
Note, that you see a group of people(pretestants) behaving a certain way and treating other in a way you believe wrong, and you call them rude, say you dont like it and tell them to stop doing it.

How is this different from them seeing a group of people behaving a certain way.... and then telling them that they are wrong, dont like it and they should stop?

How is what you are doing to your protestant brothers and sisters, different from what they may be doing to catholics? Are they not one in the same?

Nope. Online is more or as fake as a soap opera. You see online most people are really anonymous and a majority of people don't act in real life like they do online. The lie is online is real, the truth is online is fake.

I actually try to be as nice in real life as I am online,.. I'm just not popular at all unfortunately and I don't have very many friends at all. :(

Why not. Online is not real at all. That is the problem millennials coming and acting like the fake is real, now a lot of people do. I have know for almost 30 years or more how fake the internet is. Even in my classes you can't cite most internet sources because it is all lies and fake, not trust worthy. The biggest problem is thinking online is real is a huge security, people start using their real name and put other information online think online is real then get their identities stolen.

If you only get one thing from me please know online is very fake and nothing can be trusted.

I actually do use my first and middle name, but never my last name, phone number, address, etc.

I haven’t seen a whole lot of love in some of your posts.

Which is why although sometimes I like what he says about love I don't like his posts because I don't believe that they are geuinley coming from him.

Praying to statues is idolatry, period. People read Romans 1:22-23 -- "Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for an image resembling mortal human beings or birds or four-footed animals or reptiles" -- without understanding exactly what it says. If you're not praying to the unseen God your practicing idolatry, which is abhorrent to Him.
