Mary has no place in our salvation whatsoever.
There is no place in scripture that indicates she had any involvement apart from giving birth and mothering the humanity of Jesus.
ie. She was mother to Jesus the man, not mother of Jesus as God, who has always existed, obviously aeons before Mary was born.

Mary has ZERO to do with anyone's salvation.
She brought Jesus into the world...no Mary, no Incarnation. Strictly speaking, Mary does not save us, anymore than any other human could. But when somebody baptizes you, or in any way leads you to the belief & salvation of God, can't we say that God's salvation passed through somebody else to you? He is generous with His grace.

We should probably think carefully about that is being asked. If we affirm the Incarnation then in sense the answer is yes. The term the ancient Catholic Church (not to be confused with the later Roman church) used for Mary was Theotokos meaning God Bearer. It’s a christological term used to preserve the Human nature as well as the divine nature of the hypostatic union. Yet we should also be careful not to assign an unbiblical role to Mary where she is given power to save anyone.

To say that without Mary there would be no Jesus incarnate is not valid, I think. I mean, God could have chosen anyone to be the vessel. She was surely blessed and is due a great amount of respect for her willingness to accept her role, but she initiated nothing and can take no credit whatsoever for Jesus' Godliness (that existed literally forever before she was born), and no amount of veneration or belief in her or any special capabilities she may be thought to have will get anyone saved.

Two reasons why Mary is the mother of our salvation!

1: Because Jesus Christ is our salvation Lk 2:30 and Mary is His mother!

2: Because she consented to our salvation! Lk 1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

Mary only giving birth to and only mothering the humanity of Jesus is a condemned heresy! She is the mother of His entire person, He is God and she is His mother!

Where does it say Mary consented?

Luke 1:38 (NAS): And Mary said, “Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

No Noah, no incarnation.
No Abraham, no incarnation,
No Isaac, no incarnation,
No Jacob/Israel, no incarnation,
No Ruth, no incarnation.
No David, no incarnation.
etc
etc
etc.

If any one of the above had gone astray, the heritage would have been broken.
Mary is no more faithful and no more righteous and no more important than any of the above.

If we're going to assign Jesus' mom a role in the plan of salvation, then we have to include all the mom's leading up to her, including Mary's mom, and Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, Sarah, Noah's wife, and Eve: most especially Eve because she's the mom who started the ball rolling to Mary.

Gen 3:15 . . I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.

Mary's consent was unrelated to the plan of salvation. It was strictly to an unplanned pregnancy that would result in a permanent successor to David's throne.

Luke 1:31-33 . .You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.

Salvation comes from the Father, and Him alone. He sent His Son, to make the sacrifice, and the Son obeyed the Father.
There is no other way to please God.

Jesus' mom was very good at taking orders. She was instructed to name her boy Jesus and that's exactly what she did.

Luke 1:31 . .You are to give him the name Jesus.

Luke 2:21 . .On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise him, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he had been conceived.

Too many Protestants are quick to marginalize Jesus' mom when they should be praising her willingness to cooperate with God instead. Catholics tend to go a little overboard in this direction but at least they've got the right idea.

Luke 1:45 . . Blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord.

The Greek word translated "blessed" essentially means fortunate. So, then anybody who is able to believe that Jesus is destined to sit on David's throne, and govern the land of Israel, should count themselves well off that they're able to do so.

The Catholic Church since the beginning (Pentecost) has always recognized a unique role that Mary has/had in Salvation. It is only recently that novel ideas like
Mary has ZERO to do with anyone's salvation
have come into existence.

Gen: 3:15 I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in wait for her heel.

Seems like she has a role.

The language of Gen 3:15 in the 2011 version of the Catholic Bible is different than yours. It reads:

"I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; they will strike at your head, while you strike at their heel."

It's different in the RSV too.

"I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel."

Anyway, in context; the woman spoken of in Gen 3:15 isn't Jesus' mom, it's Adam's wife Eve: the mother of all women; Mary too.

Again, you twist scripture to say what you want it to say.

If you are right here, the tomorrow when I go to church, I should exalt Mary's name and pray in her name and sing praises to her. Jesus should just be on the back burner somewhere.

Now THAT would be heresy.
