CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Went out for my first walk this morning with my wife,daughter and two grandchildren. There were lots of people at Haresfield Beacon,but we went along the Cotswold Path and there were not many people along there,most having gone to the Beacon. Those we did meet were all respecting the social spacing rules. It really did me good and with my sticks I did very well. The children were so good too!

Today I heard the sad news of a friend and former colleague who has sadly passed away after a long illness. She will be remembered by many of us as a truly loyal friend and an amazing work colleague. She was someone who cared and went the extra mile to help others. She brought a lot of happiness into people's lives and made so many lives worth living.
Now she is at home in that beautiful mansion in heaven with the Lord she loved and served. There will be no more fear, no more pain and no more tears, but an eternity wrapped in the love of God, with joy that is indescribable.
I am grateful for people like her who really made the world such a kinder place. She will be truly missed.
