CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, let's see how many of your fellow atheists actually show up on that post of yours (#1170) and place a nice, solid green check-mark on it ....................... if they're honest enough to do so.
Somehow, I don't think they will be, at least not in mass droves.

What refutes itself?
Hi SZ. Are speaking about in Christianity there are different versions of God. That is not true, for if any other gospel is presented other than Christ as Savior and redeemer who died and rose again is not Christianity in the first place.

If you ask different Christians that all believe that Jesus is their savior and died and rose again will describe contradictory attributes of god. Read the christian only sections of this site, it proves this point.

It really doesn't matter. If anyone preaches a different gospel, they are not worshipping The Christian God. It is a person's own responsibility to accept God through Jesus Christ; no other's beliefs are of concern. That being said, Jesus is the foundation which redemption sits upon and different beliefs must pass the standard of Scripture and unfortunately, that can be misinterpreted and askew. Again, it doesn't matter as long as you have accepted Christ's gift of salvation and live as a Christian. I can believe that Genesis is not allegory, another may believe it is but regardless both opinions must be centered and focused on the redeeming Grace of God and the acceptance of Jesus Christ.

Can you do your own work for yourself, sir? I mean no disrespect but I am sure that you have heard HIM say what HE has said and had believed HIM to be speaking the TRUTH at one point in your life.
Regardless if men change, HE doesn´t change sir...what HE said then HE says now and what was TRUTH then remains TRUTH now, and tomorrow...

Not all Christians believe Jesus was god or rose from the dead or was a sacrifice for sins. Their interpretation comes right from the bible as well. You just believe your interpretation is correct but so do they. Without any real evidence either way it is all just opinion and God does not seem to care enough to straighten it all out.

Sir, you have and you don´t believe...that is the extent of this conversation....HE claimed what HE claimed...the short of it is either HE lied, or HE spoke the TRUTH...
Men change, sir...men move from what they began in...but HE doesn´t change...HE remains constant in all our own personal struggles and storms...
It´s just that our own personal struggles and storms compete with our attention and we begin to think that HE has moved/changed, when in fact, it is we who have moved/changed...because of the troubles and storms
The work of a CHRISTIAN is to remain in what they began in...to keep ever before them what they began in and to not move...in all seasons...
And yes, HE said that too...when HE said REMAIN in ME...

Then they are not Christians. I don't know what comes from the Bible that states Jesus didn't die and rise again for our sins. You'll have to point that out for me.
