Which is and has been a sad, but standard pattern in the modern history of protestantism.
Letting go of ones absolutes, one by one.
Nowadays many of the protestant sects even bless homosexuality and mock true love by calling good for evil, and evil for good.
So this is a pattern and a rather sad one at that.

I remember how many of my pentecostal relatives considered drinking to be sinful just a decade or two ago. Now they drink themselves.
Female pastors are another example of this development I'm talking about.

There might very well be churches that hold more firmly to their denominational identity and roots. I'm only referring to what seems to be mainline protestantism.
You are Protestant bashing.
I forgive you.
Blessings

Hey, op asked. I answered. You can research it. Even Protestantism rejected sterilization and birth control as late as the 1930's. You can study it and come you your own conclusions. God bless all.
do you think matrimonies have to have up to 10 sons that they cannot feed nor educate?

Aren't some things true no matter what church you might go to?
Yes, but I am concerned with what my own Church does especially if I consider it the True Church.

I would say, it depends on why.

If by that you mean health reasons then I can somewhat concur. I know that some women has the choice of either being sterilized or suffer from great pain. Some even are in danger of bleeding to death. it almost happened to one of my aunts, but she where luckily and blessed not to die from it.
I know that it is permissible for Catholics to go through with the procedure if it's medically necessary and beneficial.

Edited. I'm not going to waste my time on nonsense.
I used to do the same thing, typing some comments and setting the font to white.. But I stopped.

But it's not all Protestants that were referred to. Yes, the Pentecostals who used to be against drinking but now drink, the mainliners who used to be against contraception but are now blessing homosexual marriages, not all Protestants. And not very bashing at that. "There might very well be churches that hold more firmly to their denominational identity and roots."

So what does your own Church say about sterilization? What is your own Church?

I have never met a man or woman who has gone to hell for sterilizing or being sterilized. So for me to say that it is a sin, would only be to have you conform to doctrines that i believe in, only....and would not be based on fact or Truth.

I have never met a man or woman who has gone to hell. Maybe some who went to hell after I knew them, but since they have not given me their new address, I don't really know.

Yes, and I find it dangerous to speak as fact, truth or doctrine, that which I "really dont know."

I hope you are not saying you believe doctrines that have no basis in truth or fact.

I Am saying it is best to speak as truth that which you know......as oppose to that which you have heard and believe.

I guess I expect that what one believes is known and not unknown. If one really believes it that is.

I guess what Im saying is this. Two people have read directions, and one of them followed the directions to the destination. Yet they both say they know how to get the the destination. Which one would you say it better equipped to deliver the directions?

Most direction givers today, are those who have read maps only. This is dangerous... I prefer to relay directions only to places that I've been....for maps are hard to read, therefore, I cannot trust my interpretation of them alone....I must follow it to the end, before sharing the way with others.

But I also find no fault if your are others do differently.
