The amount of christians in israel seems to be staying around the same percentage at about 2 percent.
98 percent of israel is non christian.
171,900 claim to be christian in israel.
I expect that number to drop to around 144,000 in the near future.

The stats were taken last year.
The percentage of christians in israel is actually dropping.Ive been watching the stats for about 20 years now.
A few years ago the petcentage was 2 percent.Last year it was 1.95 percent.Still close.
Of the 171,900 christians in Israel,80 percent of those are arab christians.

Switching gears back to the beginning, when the first high priest was chosen. I believe I misspoke earlier when I said the Pharisees had the priesthood taken from them in 7O AD. I don't know enough about the different groups of that time to know which specific group oversaw the office of the priesthood. What I was trying to say is that - in general - the office of priesthood was transferred from the physical temple made from human hands to Christ (our high priest now).

When the Tabernacle was built in the desert, it became necessary to appoint a High Priest to oversee its service. Moses was originally supposed to assume the role, but according to some traditions, he lost that right when he initially refused to be G‑d’s messenger to free the Jews from Egypt. Although his intentions were pure—he wanted to avoid offending his older brother by accepting the more prestigious role—his hesitance demonstrated that Aaron’s honor was more important to him than G‑d’s command. This made him unfit for the High Priesthood, a position which necessitated complete subservience to the Almighty,2 and Aaron became the first High Priest in his stead.

Does that mean 20% of the Israeli Christians are of Jewish backgrounds?
Based on the work of ONE FOR ISRAEL, the only way the number of Christians could be dropping as a percentage is if the number of Jewish immigrants is increasing.

Jewish imigrants are increasing and some christians are leaving .
A larger number of christians are fleeing the west bank because of the occupation though that number is not counted in israels demographics.

If they are in christ then they are heirs according to te promise.But for now they are persecuted by those who reject Christ. I expect this to continue till the time of vengeance when God shall recompence.

Some Christians are from Arabic bloodlines, whose families have lived in Israel for hundreds of years.
Should they be expected to leave their land to make room for a Jewish settlement?
