  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It explains a lot if you let emotional superficiality dictate your analysis.

My cynicism is not causing America to collapse; America is doing that. My cynicism is a motivational predictor of human behvaior and reliability for me. It isn't my fault that people keep vindicating my cynicism by doing the things I mentioned before. Destabilization brings out the worst in people - usually unconsciously - and, that includes ignorance.

Humans don't have to prove me right; using my philosophy on people in order to deflect from the abysmal state of the union (which I explicitly explained) is a tyro attempt to ignore the truth of the state of matters.
Hey man everyone have their personal worldview here, you are no exception to that.

That is a defeatist and substantatively complacent reaponse to a situation that requires incredible cognition, attention and analysis.

What does and doesn't work for me doesn't stop the cllapse of the States, ignorance of the state of America (especially if it is your nation) and complacency in being enslaved by the very system your nation has sworn never to emulate.

The reason why it will get worse is because very few people realize they are in boiling water.

Not defeatist, just acknowledging reality.

I have no control over your view of the world, nor do I desire to have any. If your viewpoint works for you, knock yourself out.

Frankly so what?

So nothing unless you lie under oath to Congress. The bigger problem is that now we have ranking members that have lied about meetings with Russia, if they are innocent then why lie

You mean Flynn is a spy? If so source please.

I didn't say he was a spy, I said he was a foreign agent.

President Trump's former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, who was fired from his prominent White House job last month, has registered with the Justice Department as a foreign agent for $530,000 worth of lobbying work before Election Day that may have aided the Turkish government. (Michael Flynn belatedly registers as foreign agent who earned $530,000 for lobbying)

Which is why it is curious that you are using my personal worldview and philosophy to connect to the quality of my critique on America and the West. That is why I responded to you by saying,

My responses aforementioned makes this post redundant.

It is incredulity by dismissal - instead of contextually critiquing the points. It is a bit defeatist, perhaps even ignorant.

As I told @super animator above, using my personal philosophy as a qualifier for the context of my arguments - especially without considering the merit of them - is a neophyte effort.

It would be a very different situation if I was one of the only ones critiquing the West in the way I have done - but there a couple of billion of people who likely feel the same way to some measurable extent. Several millions make their voices heard - critiquing the same things about the West.

If millions of people keep telling me I am a walking robot, I will eventually want to take a look in the mirror to make sure I am not deluding myself.

You can critique until the cows come home, whatever floats your boat.

Again, i have no control or desire as to how you critique and it has zero impact on my life.

LOL your "it's not my fault that I hold these views" is hilarious, when pointing out that you have a worldview. I share my sentiment with @bhsmte that I don't care about your worldview nor your critique. Just pointing out that your cynicism explains quite a lot about your worldview and nothing more. You can justify your cynicism to me all you want, it doesn't change the fact that I still don't care.

Perhaps Manafort came highly recommended by Bill Clinton.

Figures that Donald would seek advice on actual leadership from a Democrat... and then promptly forget his lessons.

You cared enough to comment on it in the first place.

Don't get cocky because you have an audience. You are transparent; why did you say something if you weren't bothered?

(That is a rhetorical question by the way.)

For those of you who aren't triggered by comments about the West, this may actually be a good discussion related to the OP.

Seems there may be evidence of destabilization as the primary goal of the 2016 election, and that the Trump Administration was simply collateral damage.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/paulro...rump-but-to-destabilize-america/#67e3c9c13173

As far as the reason for the destablization, this is straight from the Art of War, or more contemporarily the handbook to destabilize the west. Since I have permission to critique, I am wondering why this bit of HISTORICAL LITERATURE being played out on the world scene is something worthy of ignorance? It is a war on people, not between parties.

That is such a common cliche predictable response. The only part that I care about is you understanding my point.

Well that explains quite a lot about your views.

You actually responded to me, but I wasn't speaking to you at all.

You care enough to respond, or make a comment. You could have stayed silent; As said, I was not conversing with you originally.

I read a report today and it seems more to do with Turkey than Russia and before he had anything to do with Trump.

Apparently Flynn and his son are facing charges, I'm just surprised it took so long.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe has enough evidence to bring charges against former national security adviser Michael Flynn and his son, according to a new report. (Mueller team has evidence to bring charges against Michael Flynn and his son. Daily News)
This is a guy who led the chants of 'lock her up' and the GOP national convention. Now his shady dealings are going to be revealed, the irony is staggering.

Thank heavens Mueller is getting the ball rolling, and I fully expect it to pick up velocity as it brings the malfeasants down.

That was the best political news I heard all week...and while I regret that Rand Paul was knocked of his riding mower by his neighbor, I can't say that I regret that he won't be able to attend the Senate for quite awhile, making it harder for them to pass their disastrous tax plan.
