  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How EXACTLY did the Russians sway the election.

Please cite credible sources and specific proof.

For the sake of argument let's say that they got into the DNC email system - not real hard to do evidently. Also, no one has said they are false.

What specific e-mail or action has had a demonstrable effect on the election? Cite your sources please, you can offer an opinion, but be forthright enough to recognize what is opinion and what is sustainable fact.

I don' think we will ever know if Russian activity swayed voters in anyway.

What we do know is; Hilary had a poor track record running as the favorite. Obama upset her posing as the "change" candidate in 08. Sanders got far more support than anyone anticipated and even beat Clinton in some of the crucial rust belt states, posing as the "change" candidate.

These signs were in place before any email revelations and Trump also was going to be a "change" candidate as well. Polls showed early on, people wanted change and since Clinton is the poster child for establishment/elitist politicians, I think the clues were in place beforehand, she could be beat.

Clinton didn't lose the election because of the Russians. She lost because she can't be trusted and is corrupt. This is my opinion.

That isn't what the op asked.

It was to what you had stated about mis-information (not the OP) which is probably why he was asking you about it in post #13 I believe.

Only because any possible sway released in respects to any such hacking (Allegedly by the Russians) was their very own emails (which were deemed authentic).

Is every election talked about for this long?

2000 was talked about for quite a while. This one will continue to be analyzed for a long time as well. And, Trump will be the most scrutinized president in our history, from day one.
