To whom do we pray

Probably a silly question.

In Church, when praying, I have been used to praying to God and finishing with something such as " we ask this in Jesus Name."

I have recently moved to a new church and it seem prayers are addressed mainly to "Holy Spirit". This is a Baptist Church which is more Charismatic than I am used to (not saying this wrong or anything).

This kind of jars with me, probably cos I am old school. I would appreciate others points of view on this.

I understand; I was raised to pray in the same manner as you, and it sits odd with me not to use the phrase like "through the name of Jesus Christ; Amen": but I don't think it really matters, God knows the heart, and that's what matters. I really believe the rest is just technicality of sorts. I believe this would be much like anything not involving unfeigned love of God to guide us; it becomes a matter of conscience.

Verses like 1 Timothy, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Hebrews 5:5-6 5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

For me, it's simply that everything is set up to go through Jesus to the Father as our High Priest.

Just a few verses to consider:
1 Timothy 2:5
5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
John 15:16
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 16:23-24
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

So what would you say if you went to a Church that always and only prayed to the Holy Spirit ?

Even with good intentions, I kind of think they are wrong to do this, not that I am going to make an issue of it with them.

I do believe in the Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I personally think it is Biblical to Pray in the Holy Spirit to God The Father in Jesus name.
I would ask for scripture why they pray that way. I don't agree with everything at the Church that I am a member of but I would ask for scripture if something needs clarified or if I thought it to not be Bible.
