  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

STILL no actual evidence FOR creation

I'm saying that we are told to pray, but God will sovereignly determine His own action to our prayer. God will not act against His own will to appease our tears.
I can ask God to open your eyes and unstops your ears and break your pride, but if it is not according to His sovereign will, He will simply say, no.

Sounds like God's going to do what He was going to do all along (which would be according to His sovereign will, as always), and no amount of prayer can change that.

As I said, prayer is for our sake. God doesn't need us. We need God.

So when I said intercessory prayer was futile.... it is. You do it for yourself, not for others.

Or perhaps its God will that we pray for other, and its part of how he teaches us to love each other. Its not about us alone, but is about love.

Amein W2L.
You exist. You were called, chosen and are currently abiding in JESUS !
You were created BY Him and live IN HIM
and your life/posts TESTIFY OF JESUS ,
therefore,
CREATION IS TRUE. (JESUS SAYS SO! We are just testifying of HIS WORD, TRUTH, and LIFE as HE TAUGHT US.) ....

Sounds agreeable to me brother. Jesus is alive in us.

We pray because God told us to pray. Nothing is futile when it's obedience.
Further,
we breathe to live.
I believe some of the followers of Yahweh, perhaps MANY , have said "my life has become one continual prayer" (not like monks withdrawn from society, but throughout every moment and activity being aware of and perceiving and knowing experientially and desiring joyously and completely willingly and totally obediently Yhwh's Presence, as He NEVER leaves us on our own, He NEVER forsake us; HE is ALWAYS , always, ALWAYS WITH US) ! that's GOOD for us and all those who trust and look to Yhwh - not so good for those opposed to us.....

How about this? I just thought about it. Maybe our groans are prayers. I dunno. Just a random thought.

Romans 8:23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 pray without ceasing;

Yes, absolutely true. (In line with specific Scripture, and in Total Harmony with All Yhwh's Plan, Yhwh's Purpose, and Yhwh's Word throughout, without contradicting any of His Word or Plan or Purpose for us in Yeshua HaMashiach.)

i.e. over and over and over, in His Word, YES !
in fact, in a similar way, ALL CREATION GROANS IN BIRTH PAINS TODAY !!!! ........ (shhhhhh........ it is soon!)
This is MOST JOYOUS NEWS for all BELIEVERS ALIVE in YESHUA.

Been gone for a bit, but I see that there is still no evidence for creation presented, just attacks on evolution.

The reason cannot be more obvious.
Hey professor, the problem isn't a lack of evidence since they evidence does not change because of your world view. What happens is everyone has seen God's eternal nature and divine attributes reflected in nature but people suppress the truth in unrighteousness. The Roman philosopher Sceana who had a blind sergeant who insisted that she wasn't blind but that the world was darkness. That's what happens when you reject the truth of God. Hope that helps you with your spiritual vision a little.

What I find the most interesting is that they don't see that belief in evolution is actually more faith based than creation.

It's kind of hard to see things that aren't true.

As far as Darwin, after 150 years, it still remains a theory,

This tells me you don't know what a scientific theory is.

actually lacks full scientific consensus,

Typing "vertebrate evolution" into Google Scholar gets nearly 700,000 hits. I'd say evolution, at least from the scientific literature, is about as consensus as you can get.

Look up epigenetics. It actually does not take "many generations" for effects and affects to become apparent.

Please, do go on. Tell us all about epigenetics and how it's a problem for evolution.

I have never claimed expert status, but I do desire some real world examples of evolution to entertain it. Proponents of evolution believe that changes happen over the course of many generations, but the field of epigenetics is showing that some changes occur in the very next generation. If that is the case, then why is evolution not proving itself incapable of manipulating an organism into changing, either to a prior stage, or to a future stage?

Has it "evolved" into a provable scientific fact?

That's a great big number there, but it is not full consensus.

Oh my. You think science proves things. No wonder you don't know what a scientific theory is.
