  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I understand, but you will. So the question remains alive.

That is to say that you will either hold your nose and vote for one or the other of them, throw away your vote on one of the third-party candidates, or else abstain, thereby giving a de facto vote to either Trump or Clinton, whichever of them prevails.

So do the answers.

Apparently we don't owe anything to the author, so let's talk about Hillary!

How can we forget? It's still with us, unsolved after 8 years, the longest recession in American history.

Now we need someone who has some sort of a desire to solve that problem.
Do you know what a recession means? Obama got us out of the recession years ago....

Economic recession is a period of general economic decline and is typically accompanied by a drop in the stock market, an increase in unemployment, and a decline in the housing market.

I won't hold my nose when I vote for Clinton. I know what she is and what she has done, AND she is still better than Trump.

Trump isn't a republican politician... he is independent, running on the republican side. That is the only way he could have a shot at winning, due to the way they have it set up.

From what I have heard, read, and seen, he is more than likely our best bet. Regardless of the fact alone that the media and the government want nothing more than to burn him, Clinton will be the perfect puppet for their corrupt plans for the world..

At least with Trump, we the people may have a chance to prolong the inevitable, and dare I say, fight back.

But who really knows.

He's really just about the only choice, if we get right down to brass tacks. The country could hardly be in worse shape after 8 years of the current administration, so continuing it on for 4 or 8 more isn't thinkable...and no third party candidate has any chance of victory, so what other choice is there?

On what are you basing this assertion?

You know, both sides are claiming their candidate is the only logical choice.

I dont believe either side on this.

But we seldom get to choose between two perfect choices in life, so this ^ doesn't really answer the question.

Yes, it does. He's unqualified, therefore he cannot be the right choice. (we were asked not to discuss HRC, but she is clearly qualified for the job.)

you are dealing only in hunches and repeating the claims of the opposition when it comes to your assessment of Trump.

Wrong. I have been listening to him.

You're just factually wrong. Recession is negative GDP growth.

I don't know. OldWiseGuy says that his candidate "is the expression of voters anger ... Whether he's 'qualified' or not isn't that important to us."

I really like the ones that tell us what Trump is not.

He is not a politician, and now he isn't even a republican.

He sure fooled the republicans!
The only.people fooled are those who want to be.. he is in no way a republican, just because he is running as one. Independent parties stand no chance, because that is the way it has been set up. Thus, he did the intelligent thing in giving himself a chance in the run.

Those who listen to media endorsed news are the ones who have been conned.. it isn't too difficult to look at the facts and to find information on what is going on that -isn't- being shown. There are some pretty intense things happening all over the world right now, especially in our government, and they are as corrupt as ever. Clinton will be their perfect puppet, and as a nationalist, I can't let that happen if I have a vote. Some of us do still care about freedom.. and if our choice is between the puppet and the wildcard who is hated by the ones who wish to take our freedom, well... it seems obvious to me who to choose.

At one time, that was the standard, but the economy has been stuck in no-growth for so long now that economists routinely refer to the situation as being a recession.

The situation improved, but unlike previous recessions, there has been no resultant rebound into a period of economic expansion, and that is the doing of the administration's anti-growth policies. As said before, everyone wants an improvement, and one of the candidates only wants to continue the failed policies that are keeping us where we are.

We all know what Trump is, but at the end of the day he is the Republican candidate.

He is a republican!
