So, is this the legalism of which Paul was speaking?
Sounds like something a OSAS individual would say.
It's not what I was speaking of. Your legalism isn't of Paul but rather of your own.
So if I freely choose to obey the commandments of Jesus because I love Him, am I into legalism?
You turn it into legalsim the moment you believed your salvation depends on how well you keep those commandments.
So who is saved - a man who obeys the commandments of Jesus, or a man who disregards them and does not obey them?
1 John 1:You said "Eventually, through your sincere repentance, all of your sinning can be forsaken!"
...where does the bible say this?
The man "obeying" them in order to merit salvation isn't saved.
The man obeying them as a result of his salvation is saved.
Anyone who says John 3:15-16 isn't true is a liar. And the truth is not in them. Just as the Bible says. What a crock of nonsense you people are slurping up!
Why don't you just deal with the Scriptures in the OP?
The issue can easily be resolved by doing this ...
... if it's done in a fair and honest manner.
Spiritual Truth is NOT about biases, opinions, feelings,
or the false doctrines of men which deceive many people.
One has to reconcile:
-- the many verses that state OSAS
with
-- the many verses that warn against OSAS.
I have done this.
And you forgot to add that it doesn't really matter if this man obeys God's laws in the Eternal Security belief. For disobedience will be rewarded and obedience will be punished. Evil people go to heaven and good people go to hell.
Also, it is highly unlikely anyone will actually obey God's laws under the belief of Eternal Security. For the OSAS Proponent in my experience is always about putting down the law of God.
How so?
I remember creating a study thread on two different Christian forums. I mentioned nothing of Eternal Security. It was just a study on God's Commands within the New Testament and not the Old Testament. The appearance of this two threads had sent certain Eternal Security Proponents into an uproar.

What does God teach about those who profess their self-righteousness as saving them?I feel sorry for your belief....it's damning....damning because you don't obey all of Gods laws.
Anyone who says John 3:15-16 isn't true is a liar. And the truth is not in them. Just as the Bible says.
Jude 1:4
For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
It's damning not because of that. But because they are dedicated to teaching the opposite of Jesus ministry. The culmination of which caused him to be the propitiation of our sins. It is Satanic doctrine. Not Godly teachings that reiterate the truth of Jesus Christ and him crucified.I feel sorry for your belief....it's damning....damning because you don't obey all of Gods laws.
Those who are sealed with the Holy Spirit aren't invested in inciting an uproar by publishing lies about Jesus Christ. And the snatching from Jesus' hands sends the "losers of salvation" into their own uproar. They try but can't get by the contradiction that kills their false theology.
I do not read those committed to the mission of blasphemy over and over and over again. Here and elsewhere as they admit.Again, most Conditional Salvationists believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior. They believe Jesus saves them both in Justiication and in Sanctification. Not sure how you can think that Conditional Salvationists are denying the Savior in some way when most of them do not teach such a thing. Most of them believe one initially gets right with God thru repenting of their sins and accepting Jesus as their Savior. They also believe that if they were to sin, they can keep their heart right with God thru confessing (1 John 1:9) and forsaking their sin (1 John 1:7) (Also see Proverbs 28:13, Matthew 12:41 cf. Jonah 3:6-10).
As for Jude: Jude 1:4 in the New International Version says these individuals are trying to push a license for immorality. Eternal Security fits this bill waaaaaaay so much more than Conditional Salvationism. If you believe otherwise, please explain it to us slowly.
