he said going forward his foot should not be a limiting factor in any activity of his choice.

When I messed up the tendons in my ankle/foot (age 23) it never bothered me to play any sports no matter how hard I ran or cut, but if I stepped on a rock wrong it would just roll over real easy go figure...

One site I go to for Rangers info (sportshoop.la) has a daily Banny bash on his use of the pen arms
If you have more than 1 guy you can't fully trust you have to split them up and try to put them into situations to where they can gain some confidence, instead of them knowing they're just being relegated to mop up duty and not really caring how they pitch...

He did the same thing with Adrian last year when he was stinking and he finally came around about the All Star break...

The Fielder funk is worse. And having MM stink up at the same time is a rally killer. Rangers won 7-3 but really could have put it away in the 5th.

Mazara gets a lead off double no outs. They IBB Beltre to get to Fielder. Fielder pops out with a 3-0 count. They pitch around Rua who was 2-2 at that point he walks, based loaded and MM up. He strikes out with the bases loaded and then Evis flies out.

Having MM and Fielder in the line up broke up every rally the Rangers had going.

The Mariners knew exactly what to do to get out of innings. Give bases away to get to Fielder and Moreland.

They both need a few days off to hit the cages to figure out what is going on with their swings, with the way everybody else is hitting they won't be missed while they figure it out. (Even the Catchers are hitting better than those two). Mazara was put in the 3rd slot last night and he ended up being on base 4 times, I think he could hit anywhere in the order and do just fine...

Profar is really putting the screws to the management team to find a place for him on the roster playing on a regular basis. He seems to be totally comfortable with hitting 1st and the team is responding to him being there, more 7-2 wins than 3-2 wins. I think they can figure out a way to get him in the lineup at least 5 days a week and maybe 6, especially since 2 other guys aren't earning the playing time they're getting. Since he is a switch hitter he could be used to get better matchups and give some other guys rest, that's if Banny is willing to get creative with the lineup. (Both Profar and Andrus have played OF before).

They have a long stretch with only 1-2 days off and it's about to get hot so getting people rest is paramount. Once Choo gets back they will be stacked and they have the opportunity to put the division away in the next 60 days if they seize it and run (Best 60 game run I can remember is the 75 or 76 Reds they went 51-9) . But that's only if Banny forgets about salaries, veterans playing time and egos and plays the hot players and the matchups. I would think winning a WS is the goal of every team every year, not about keeping overpaid over ego guys happy. (Guys like that need to be given a new zipcode)...

100% agree.

Banister is loyal to those who got the team in the hunt last year and into the playoffs. Probably why he is sticking with Tolley and Fielder. Those two did great work last year. Now Banny needs to show his loyalty to the entire team and sit the folks holding back the team.

He doesn't really have much of an option with Tolly because the alternatives are either hurt or ineffective...

Glad Banny found this thread. :)

Looks like they plan on giving Profar some time at 3rd and 1B instead of the OF. Guess they just aren't completely satisfied that his shoulder is 100% or just being cautious, a few games at 3rd will tell the tale...

6-5 over the Stros. Rangers are finding ways to manufacture wins. Love it.

Roogie gets the go ahead HR then the go ahead sac fly then the walk off double.

After that run from 1st to home Beltre needs the next day at DH I'm thinking. :)

Fielder played first and went 2-4 with an RBI. He batted 6th.

I am hearing rumors on the sports shows up here that they're looking to trade Fielder. Is this true?

Frankly they can't. He's batting half his weight and has a long term toxic contract. Rangers have no good solution for Prince. I like Fielder and hope he turns it around.
