  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Now faith, I can't help but notice that in spite of your thread title, you seem to have plenty answers not only for yourself, but to share, as well.

Which leads me to the question, why did you make this thread?

When a person comes into America illegally, this is how it works as I have witnessed first hand:

A large truck pulls to a side road ,this road is on a less traveled route.

The back door opens and a truck load of small dark haired people with bags and back packs jump out and run.

Dark haired people, huh? I'm guessing you would feel better if they were blond-haired and blue-eyed.

Someone please tell me what the background of the jumpers is,or if they are rapist, murderers, drug dealers or just the humble people who pick our crops and build our homes.

You don't know that about American citizens either, except they probably won't pick your crops.

Because he has support from those who are blind to reality.

That's your evidence he is doing something illegal? You have a rather bizarre definition of evidence.

If a person cannot see the tremendous amount of cost to our social services

Actually immigrants are less likely to use social services than citizens of similar incomes. And the illegal ones are actually keeping Social Security and Medicare afloat because they use a fake SSN to pay into the system but they can never collect benefits from them.

,
the loss due to casualty from driving illegal that over burdens insurance company's and there for we pay higher cost.

More likely to happen with impoverished Native Americans and African-Americans for the simple reason that if illegals do this they are likely to get deported.

The price we pay for shoplifting in higher cost

Evidence that immigrants are more likely to shoplift?

,
our medical insurance due to indigent care

Now that is a problem. It is the only social service they are eligible for.

,the loss of tax revenue because illegals deal in cash no SS. number.

That's true only of day laborers and most of them aren't. Like it or not, this is the dirty truth. Undocumented people generally cannot obtain a valid “authorized for employment” SSN. Therefore, many must use an invalid SSN if they are to work in the U.S. As a result, they and their employers pay billions of dollars in payroll taxes each year, boosting the Social Security and Medicare trust funds from which everyone benefits. But since their SSN is invalid, they can't collect from either program. They also pay income taxes and rarely apply for a refund. It is estimated that by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, that undocumented noncitizens paid almost $50 billion in federal taxes from 1996 to 2003.

Ah, so now they are diseased. Do they smell funny too?

I was born and raised in California and go back there every year. In my youth I worked in a frozen food packing plant along side Hispanics and later worked in a day care center for the children of migrant workers. One of my fondest memories is driving through the migrant camp on my motor scooter and all the children running behind me, calling out "Maestra! maestra!" Gave me a real high. I later went to graduate school in Arizona where I lived for ten years in the barrio. As a result I am nearly fluent in Spanish but they haven't given me any weird diseases. Nor was I victim of any crime.

I worked in the fields side by side with migrants,in a flower or tomato field you could careless who was who.
I employ Mexicans today legal ones,I am not playing any race cards because I am Cherokee myself and know what discrimination is.
This is a mute point in all and I think the topic is old.
Thank You from a fellow Human being.

I agree whole heartily, it has become a rant.
Time to forget and move on.

First, how do you define "illegal EO's"?
Second, could you show the statistics? I'm curious.

I'm sure someone has done the legwork, but since you don't
really want to know, I'm not going to bother looking.

There is no opposition party any more. Just a month or so ago, the
Republicans in Congress signed a 2000 page document written by
who knows, containing 'nobody has a clue'.

A rather hyperbolic way to say they passed a budget.

Passing a budget is a few pages. This was a monstrosity that should
have been burned, not made into law. Just like Obamacare.

Passing the federal budget just takes a few pages? And when was the last time that happened?
