Simple question, probably a very complicated answer.

I hear about God healing people all the time on these forums.

Why does he not heal amputees?
Because not many christians are filled with the Holy Spirit like the disciples were and praying that much and building their faith and most don't step out and say: limb grow out in Jesus' Name.
It happened in the revival of Indonesia in the sixties or something. The mother of my ex just saw arms and legs grow out as a kid in Indonesia.

Odd how these things only ever seem to take place in remote areas away from means to document them.

Why does he not heal amputees?

It's a very good question, and a fair one.

And you are right. It's complicated.

God does not always heal.

Have you heard of Job in the Old Testament? Although God eventually did heal Job, there was a long span of inexplicable suffering when God did not heal Job, and as a matter of fact, seemed to be "absent" as Job suffered in ways he had no words for.

The apostle Paul was not healed of his ailment, even as he asked God repeatedly for healing.

Maybe the question is (if you don't mind me asking) is:

Can God heal?

I appreciate your thread, your question and any response.

Thank you.

Not odd, those people even walked on the water. Here we have bridges and you can just get a fake leg. My mom got a new hip from the doctor. If you don't have a doctor in a remote area you need to use your faith.
Can't blame people who don't believe in God for not believing it when even the christians don't. But if I have grown one out I will post the evidence here.

Not odd...

You're correct it's not actually odd, it makes perfect sense to set such stories in areas where it cannot be confirmed.

Which would be in all ways inferior to having a new working one divinely attached, yet it never happens.

Wanting proof is such a bother I know.

Do you think He's capable of healing?

I don't think it exists. Yahveh, Vishnu and the Krampus cannot heal amputees, all for the same reason.

Fair enough.

Just wondering though, what interests you about this thread?

Seeing the justifications by Christians of why their deity never heals people of their missing limbs.

He doesn't always heal.

Do you have any knowledge of the Bible?

Not a bother at all. What kind of proof would you like?

Some kind of media documentation of people regrowing lost body parts, stories you heard don't count, would be nice. I would think that people who have had arms and leg regrow would be anxious to demonstrate their power of the deity who did it.
