Gonzo is smoking a whole hog. There will probably be a hundred people there. I have ordered the liquor and soft drinks to be delivered sometime today to be iced down. It will be terrific. My guys throw one heck of a barbecue!

I am 39 days sober as of this morning. I would love a cup of black coffee....

Black coffee , latte , macchiatto etc are always available at the bar - just help yourself

Fridge contains nice nibbles and down at the jetty , in this sort of weather you should find tables , chairs and of course parasols

Dan drops into the Office and keeps us stocked up and the bills paid. Just leave a note on the fridge door if you spot something needs topped up

Hey all

been clothes shopping today and went to Art and craft im going to share the pic i drew i hope you are amazed when you see it ill show the pic i shared with her collar as it is the one i drew every tiny detail

-goes into the office after taking a stock check seeing we are low on certain things as she then makes note taking that into the office to order , pay and pay other bills updating the records that it is done -

i only just went clothes shopping today with the money my nana gave me thursday i stayed home

i needed some summer tops so got some and some more trousers ASDA only had one pair of the ones i got though and they were £10 the tops were either £3 or £4

Whats that..?

Cinco de Mayo celebrates a battle won over a well equipped and numerically superior French invasion force on May 5th 1862 by a much smaller Mexican army in the early days of the French invasion.

My work force is mostly Mexican. WE really have a good time for Cinco de Mayo! We had great food and drink, dancing to live music and great fellowship.

The French invaded Mexico in 1862? I never knew that either!!

I take it they were unsuccessful.

Dan - the salt trick is a very old one - and it WORKS !! We were taught it one very hot summer when I was in Nurse training and working in our Hospital's Private Patient Wing - the Chef there came up to each floor to tech us about it and demonstrated how much salt to use - as he said an extra pack of crisps [ those where the days before salt and shake ones - EVERY packet of Crisps had a wee blue pack of salt in them ] and a little extra on things like potatoes and salads and 2 or 3 grains in every drink would do the trick. Remember then we wore heavy cotton dresses and starched aprons on top of them and stiff collars - not the way nurses dress now. When we got off duty we had damp patches round our waists and our apron belts were wringing wet !!

Funny how in those days there was never such thing as a dirty Hospital Ward.

Over here the Nuns ran the Hospitals and you could eat your dinner off the floor. No MRSA in those days either...
