CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't think you do, if you did why would creationists keep going on about evidence? why wouldn't you just sit back with a smile on your face and just believe? why do creationists go looking for the Ark? why did they build the "creation museum"? [apart from to make loads of money] why does evolution bother creationists so much?

Well, they both have two eyes, they both have the basic four limbs, they both have that backbone, they both have a liver, they both have the mouth and the gut . . .
So yeah, they have enough in common to share a single ancestral species in the way way back . . . but that species would also be ancestral to us, since it would be ancestral to ALL the mammals and ALL the birds . . . .

No, we have evidence that humans share a common ancestor with other creatures, most recently with chimpanzees, who have very similar dna to us.

This is first the assumption that common genes came from a common ancestor but the scientist are finding many surprises where creatures share common genes that was not the result of common ancestor. One of those surprises were bats and dolphins shared over 200 genes. (The exact opposite is also true. Features that suppose to be the result of common ancestor were surprisingly developed by different genes.)
The theory common genes has to be the result of common ancestor has been falsified by the evidence.
