• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Both are one in the same no matter how you wish to spin it.
I don't know what it is with you two all of a sudden, but dad must have gotten borning or something, eh? ;)

FTW, I haven't even engaged "dad" since returning. My only point was to demonstrate the contradiction, nothing else.

No it doesn't, most of the events in the bible are only referenced in the bible alone. This does not bode well for most of these events, which are often so significant that if they actually happened there is no way only 1 text would reference them.

That's a rather silly view that completely ignores the role of censure.

Every single miracle should not have been censured accross multiple cultures, that is rather silly. Plus, if censorship was so well kept, the bible itself shouldn't have survived.

Fossils came after the Fall, not before it.

Fossils have nothing whatsoever to do with what happened between the Creation and the Fall.

They simply didn't exist.

Then why do they have "embedded age"?

You claim it was created 6000 ago, therefore it is 6000 years old.
Then you're quote-mining a term I use.

What is the difference between age and embedded age?

I submit that you not knowing the difference is where your problem lies.

Actually an embedded age points to God wanting us to believe in evolution.
And that's where embedded age creation comes in and sets the record straight.

Evolution runs on deep time, and the Bible pwns deep time.

No AV. With the embedded age argument shows us that God wants us to believe in evolution whether real or not. You can't have it both ways.

Why an embedded age? Why a fossil record in that embedded age that demonstrates evolution?

So you write the Bible now? I see nothing about embedded age in the Bible, so you must be adding to it now. Also, the age of the Earth is not changed by what people write in books. The map is not the territory.

I see nothing about embedded age in the Bible,
Physical age - existential age = embedded age.

And since the physical age is not mentioned in the Bible, why would you see embedded age in the Bible?

(Please answer this.)
