The four major world religions are - Christianity, Islam, Hindism and Judaism. All very different, all claiming different things about their understanding of a God or Gods. So, which of them is right and why?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

They are `all` right to their adherents, however each and every one's teachings are completely false and non-factual to me.

I did study Judaism for a year for Religious Studies, and actually thought about converting to it at one point, but Id miss Jesus too much. I have watched a few TV documentary's about Islam, which is not the best medium i know, but the faith is founded on one mans vision he had while he was alone in a cave.
I know I know, I can hear people saying "But Christianity is based on what one man said too!" but Jesus did perform miracles in front of thousands of people, who were still alive at the writing of the first Gospels. Surely one of them would have said "hey I lived around there, Jesus didnt do that!"
The contemporary writers such as Tacitus and Jewish scholars who wrote that Jesus performed his miracles because of magic and sorcery, when they could have said "He didn't do anything at all"

There is One God, Gods Oneness, there is no where He is not, He sustains His Creation every moment, because He wills it, if He were not to will it for one moment, all would be no more.
The question should be What is the truth?
David says Torah is truth,
Jesus says He is the truth,
The other two named, I know nothing.
Though Abraham sent his sons off to the east with gifts, gifts of wisdom,
maybe these gifts come into wrong hands and were corrupted.
Who knows.

Biblical scribes weren't unbiased, if someone were to have an epiphany and state "hey I lived around there, Jesus didn't do that!" Do you think that would have been recorded?

Out of the choices; Judaism.
Because...I guess I find their practices quite well climatised to the world in-spite of having such an old religion. The followers of which seem a lot more knowledgeable in their religion and yet still more likely to realise how religion is a personal matter compared to others.
Perhaps this all comes with being a minority religion though.
And perhaps i'm biased in that I am of (very)distant Jewish decent and tend to find myself agreeing with Jews on issues more often.

God created the world in such a way, that everyone is without excuse. He made us to please Him and Him only. Not to please ourselves. True Christianity, (being Christ like) is nothing compared to any other religion. Since no other religion has a man named Christ Jesus who came and died for the whole worlds sins. Try to compare that with any other religion, and you will find that it blows all of them out of the water. Someone with so much compassion, on so many people who utterly rejected, and still rejects Him everyday, can only come from the Father God. To send His son, to suffer and die for our inability to do anything right, is much more beyond any religion people can dream up, just so they can have something easy to believe in. This is not my own opinion either. Because until I left the system of this world, and even churches, and began to read the word of God and ask God for wisdom, I did not receive anything from God or any real truth. But, if we give our lives fully over to Him, in every way, dying to ourselves daily, He will give us the Spirit of Christ to live by, so that we are conforming to the one that made us, and not making Him conform to us. Your just like the rest of men if you give yourself to anything but the gospel of Christ. Anything else is counterfeit. No one really understands these things that I am speaking of, until they give themselves over to God, and stop trying to have a gospel or religion that suits or conforms to themselves.

Not to derail the thread..but I found this really cool! Is it a maternal ancestor or paternal (that you know of)? Because if the ancestors came down your mother's lineage (your mother's mother's mother's mother was Jewish) then you would be technically Jewish.

This was me a few years ago. I'd become a Messianic believer in Christ at one point (not long after I became a member on CF) and had at one point considered converting to Judaism but when I heard that I had to renounce Christ, the brakes very quickly kicked in.

It just seemed a very odd question to ask, and as the OP, I assumed that you were aiming for something. I can't imagine that the respondents will take this thread that far, unless someone attacks someone else's beliefs.
I am part of the "None of the above" category, by the way - shouldn't be all that surprising.
