• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

AV, this thread proves that you know nothing about how evolution works. Since you have admitted this, and also admitted that you have no interest whatsoever in learning about evolution, why do you start these threads?

Honestly, it's like me claiming that the Bible mentions Transformers and since there was no robotic technology back then, it proves the Bible is wrong.

Even the Medieval Church, including people such as Thomas Aquinas, recognised humans as animals, albeit rational animals with a soul made in the image of God.

If we can trace the domestic dog's lineage back to the coyote, which is still around, then were are our 'coyotes' at?

Mamma mia :doh:can you creationists even get your facts together before rambling? As if you weren't unscientific enough already.

And this:
en.wikipedia.org /wiki/Human_evolution

There is a wealth of information out there to look into this if you are interested. However I suspect you are more interested in finding any holes you can in the knowledge of the posters on this board to re-inforce your own beleifs that it is all made up.

Tiberius, some threads prove that you guys know nothing about how miracles work. Since you guys have demonstrated this by calling them 'magic', and also demonstrated that you have no interest whatsoever in learning about miracles, why do you post in those threads?

What constitutes a miracle?

People claim miracles all the time. People recovering from cancer, being brought back to life after 78 minutes of cardiac arrest etc.

What constitutes a miracle?

A miracle occurs when nature, operating on the universal laws of physics, would do one thing, but is ordered to stand down so something else could be done.

QV my user title.

How miracles work? Perhaps you can explain how they work then? What mechanism does God use?

Something that breaks the laws of physics would be a pretty big deal amongst the scientific community because it would throw into question the very laws of physics themselves.

Can you provide any testable and observable examples of a miracle?

Not in this dispensation, no.

You do not know what a miracle is. A miracle does not break the law. The law has already been broken. A miracle establishes or restores the law. Jesus did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill the law.

mat 5 18 [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Creationism does not in anyway deny that God works though natural laws. Creationism is testable and subject to observation.
