Studying a little bit about original Buddhism

I'm going to start studying about original Buddhism.

Buddhism is certainly interesting. I wrote a paper on it last year that compared and contrasted it to Orthodoxy.

Wes, my friend, with your history, I would advise against it. I'd hate for you to get caught up in it, and lose your way.

On it's own, there is nothing wrong with approaching the subject from an Anthropological perspective. I just urge you to caution, and more research on genuine Orthodox Christian beliefs and practice.

I used to be fixated on the whole Orthodox or Catholic thing until now.

I would suggest taking an online course on world religions or getting some book on them. Perhaps you can fill your catalog of thoughts on this.

You know something Proscribe - this is what you have done before .

I remember [ as do many of the old hands here ] when you first joined CF - you were finally full of enthusiasm for Orthodoxy.

Since then you have blown hot and cold about it - investigated this and that and the other , changed your faith Icon at the drop of a hat .

You've joined other boards and haven't always been made welcome there - they don't seem to understand you - the difference is that we do - and we , to some extent , understand what makes you like this.

You really need to settle down and really learn about your own faith - you cannot learn about others if you don't know and understand your own .

You seem to be looking for something - but what ?
