  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The word "COVENANT" means "TESTAMENT" & old means old & new means new.

Disagree.
But that's not the point.

I'm referring to what most mean by "New Testament" as in Matthew through Revelation.

The New Covenant referenced in Jer 31 and Heb 8 is NOT "Matthew through Revelation"

It seems that you don't know which Covenant you are under. Please clarify. Are you under I Tim 4? Or the Law???

The Word of God is not limited or 'held captive' by any Covenants.

His Word transcends ALL

And that's simply your opinion, since you give ZERO proof.

My proof is the fact that you have no proof! lol.

What covenant was John the Baptist under?

What covenant was Messiah under?

What covenant was Elizabeth and Zechariah under?

What covenant was the thief on the cross under?

"Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven."
Yes indeed! So do you? Nah.

Deuteronomy 13:6-10 (NASB)
6 "If your brother, your mother's son, or your son or daughter, or the wife you cherish, or your friend who is as your own soul, entice you secretly, saying, 'Let us go and serve other gods' (whom neither you nor your fathers have known, 7 of the gods of the peoples who are around you, near you or far from you, from one end of the earth to the other end), 8 you shall not yield to him or listen to him; and your eye shall not pity him, nor shall you spare or conceal him. 9 "But you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. 10 "So you shall stone him to death because he has sought to seduce you from the LORD your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

No Sabbath command in the NT.

Exodus 35:2 (NASB)
2 "For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a holy day, a sabbath of complete rest to the LORD; whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.

The Ten Commandments are also not in the NT (New Testament Covenant).
