Interesting commentary there. Yeppers I understand it to be quoted from The Message. So ya mean this matters?
"be ye reconciled to God." (2 Cor 5:20)
And not this?
Colossians 2:20
"So, then, if with Christ you've put all that pretentious and infantile religion behind you, why do you let yourselves be bullied by it? "Don't touch this! Don't taste that! Don't go near this!" Do you think things that are here today and gone tomorrow are worth that kind of attention? Such things sound impressive if said in a deep enough voice. They even give the illusion of being pious and humble and ascetic. But they're just another way of showing off, making yourselves look important." (MSG)
Yep there are plenty legalist with in the pro grace camp. They just have a different set of laws that aren't in the Bible that they enforce. Those churches are so liberal today their previous generations are turning over in their graves or they're cheering them on seeing their freedom from such bondage.I think that some people are raised to think that certain religious practices are right, and there's nothing wrong with that as long as they don't conflict with God. We can find self righteous people in any circle, any and all theological backgrounds have self righteous proud people making them all look bad. Humility and obedience to God is what we should strive for, but we shouldn't get hung up on our differences in the process. Anti law can be just as bad as pro law.
That would put a little much needed grease on the wheels. Grease keeps metal cool enough it can continue to rub itself and still function.Oh, please don't get me wrong. I'm not criticizing you for having a good time. I'm all for having fun. I was trying to encourage the other guy to have some, as well.
Guess I missed a detail, dad burn it.We are all given a measure of faith and its real faith. He questioned whether someone has real faith if they stumble, of course they do, and who doesn't stumble sometimes?
This to me is acknowledging some of our differences. I said you're free to follow the law as you said you do. I follow something different which isn't rote. The law is also called the flesh. Soask when I don't supply every detail. I do tend to think of people on my level understand loads more and that my statements can be fully loaded and could use maybe a couple posts with the 5,000 word limit. Not many would read them. Now if these statements are cut and paste I need to go back and correct my typos. They bug me. I hate proof reading. A secretary I'm not. I'm giggling about them. It is embarrasing."That is because we're on different levels. You pursue the natural wan we peusue the spiritual. Spiritual thing are only understood spiritually. You'reclearly not following the Spirit as noted by your confession above".

This isn't speaking about you but your idealogy. So sorry if you take it personally. It is how I see what you seem to testify about that causes such a statement." We aren't about to give you permission to enslave uf to your bondage and level of pain and woe war. Most of us have fought that one one once upon a time'.

Isn't that what you're trying to do? be perfect. You don't understand that the Christian is perfect. It isn't about the performance of the flesh. If more Christians understood this it would be great. No I'm not promoting sin.And any other quotes from you referring to my trying to be perfected in the flesh when its really holiness i seek to perfect because God tells me to.
Isn't it a truthful statement. Instead of getting upset why don't you try to better explain yourself. I do. You see me trying to say it over and maybe differently. To your verse, but your comments don't fit them. It is most unfortunate that you don't understand what the verse says enough to apply them to your life.

And how is this accomplished? Is it not the outward manifestions of the flesh. Jesus said make the inside of the cupclean and the outside takes care of itself. I hope you understand that isn't a direct quote. And Many other quotes from you referring to me trying to be perfected in the flesh when in truth im just trying to perfect holiness because God tells us to.
Then start understanding the power of sin is the law, 1 cor 15;56.
