You're right, that's why your President is elected by a single Judge, rather than a general election.

Good point.

You realise, of course, that a Judge is required to strike down unconstitutional laws?

As a matter of opinion. A Judge is just one person with an opinion. I can think of how the history of your nation was cursed with the judgment of just one man time and time again.

That judges exist the US deems unconstitutional laws to be antithetical to its foundation? That the majority cannot vote in an unconstitutional law?

The majority can write a new amendment to the Constitution.

Persecution of Christians? Now, I'm not a US citizen, so maybe I missed the concentration camps and outlawing of Churches and free worship.

The Concentration camps came after ghettoization. Gay Rights advocates are ghettoizing Christians quite vociferoulsy and effectively. "You can be a Christian, as long as you only talk in your places of exclusive community."

Gays rebelled against that at Stonewall to protect their rights to youthful prostitutes and the Christians are slotted to be in the vacated closets of the GLBT's. It's eerily fascinating to watch happen.

Want a college degree? You better submit to Gay Authority.

So, tell me, in what possible way are Christians being persecuted?

Labeling Christian holiness as a hate crime and driving the concerns of Christians underground is persecution. It is happening.

How does the Proposition 8 affect opposite-sex Christian couples in any way, shape, or form? How does its repeal affect them?

It makes the morality and holiness of Christian marriage and behavior hate speech and intolerance and a crime. It puts Gay Authority uber alles.

If Bill and Ted get married, are you and your wife going to therefore file for divorce?

We haven't yet in 21-years. The repugnant behavior of others shouldn't effect a strong Christian marriage. BUT, the Gay Agenda wants our children. With drooling demands it wants our children to be them.

Being the President, I daresay he has some say in how the country is run.

Good point. We Christians tried to tell our countrymen we were electing a monster and finally, they are waking up.

The need to keep them from self destruction, which is their unintentional destination. Love teaches you to be your brother's keeper, perform that role and you would have secured a seat among the gods.

You corrupt the word LOVE, when you use it to propose homosexuality. These people are not in LOVE, they are in LUST for Perversion.

Firstly, good for California!

Secondly, I am getting so sick and tired of people telling me how I feel. You are not me, you don't KNOW me, and you damn well can't read my mind. I will thank you to keep comments like this to yourself, because I'd hate to get this thread locked down by telling YOU what I really think.

You know what, I'll agree with you just as soon as the woman who came up to me on the train yesterday and glared at me, telling me I was reading the works of Satan while I read "The Prophets" by Rabbi Heschel is unable to do that and is arrested.

She seemed to be quite able to casually stroll up and say something completely nasty to me, and I didn't notice a closet or a ghetto.

No it doesn't. It simply means you can't enforce 'Christian' marriage on everyone else.

No it doesn't. It wants your children to be themselves, regardless of whether they are gay, straight or bisexual. The only ones who seem to want children to be a particular way - straight - are Christian fundamentalists.

Rabbi Heschel would agree with me on the facts and strength of my positions alone. As do orthodox Jews like Michael Medved and Dennis Prager. They speak out on Christian bashing every single day. And both are strict Jews.

His book: Man Is Not Alone, is a good book for Christians.

And we know this really happened to you how? Gay bashing in schools has never happened per my school teacher wife. A Christian woman terrified that her conservative beliefs will be outed. A woman that wouldn't insult the very people that bash Christians with posters on the walls of their classes and the activism they preach to other peoples children trapped in their progressive classes.

I have lived and worked in this society for years, and have heard slurs many times, but I have never witnessed anything as nonsensical as the interaction you describe. Be that as it may, does this woman represent anything important of group think to you?

People are entitled to their own opinion. I just see no legal reason to block homosexual marriage. That said, I would not want one to be performed in the synagogue I attend, and I would likely stop going were that to happen. I simply do not let my religious views effect my views that all humans are allowed to make their own choices. If they wish to be married to the same sex, it is their business, not mine. In the end, they are responsible for their choices. I am not.

It's a great book.

The thing is, I don't care that this woman was able to do this. In fact, I am happy I live in a society that would allow her the freedom to do this, and I would be fighting fiercely to have that right reinstated were it taken away.

OK. We'll see how "tolerant" of the structure that is a Christian marriage, that being exclusively and immuatbly a man and a woman, plays out in a society cheering on the Gay Agenda.

No it doesn't. It wants your children to be themselves, regardless of whether they are gay, straight or bisexual.

"They" do not have that right to force gay ideology and religious beliefs on others. The Gay Agenda desires too much. It demands total complaince of a nature not seen since Roman power enslaved all.

The only ones who seem to want children to be a particular way - straight - are Christian fundamentalists.

So we don't have the rights afforded us under the Constitution or the Gospel?

Holiness is important to Jesus, and therefore is important to His followers. The Apostles preached this most definately. There is no Christian holiness in same gender marriage.

But I agree, you and LGBT's can choose your own path to eternity. But don't force it on us anywhere we interact. Isn't that what you demand of us?

Of course, where would we expect the son of perdition to come from? He certainly can't come from the marriage bed undefiled. Christian holiness is a fundamental human right according to every human rights organization on earth. It is only violated in certain kinds of countries by certain kinds of people. We will now add Liberals and Progressives to the antagonist list?

Will we?

It already seems the answer is yes. Maybe you can help us?

I think onemorequestion has a point. 50 years after interracial marriage, there's an interracial president, 50 years after gay marriage, there'll be gay Hitler.

When He came , he spoke to them in parables, so that they will be ever hearing but never understanding.

It won't make sense to you, unless the truth lives in you.

If you are born of the truth, you will understand the truth. On the contrary, you won't understand, even when a thousand words are poured onto you like water.

Far from it, but not unconnected to it in the long run.

Start by acknowledging the FATHER, and the SPIRIT will teach you everything you need to know and do.

Help me out here. Your argument in every case seems to boil down to "I'm Christian, you're not, therefore, I'm always right, even without explanation."

Have I got the core of your argument down?

Isn't that the sanme as "I'm Gay and it doesn't matter if you are or not, I'm right! And you will only follow my ideology per the law."

Lol. So you think gays are going to stop heterosexuals from getting married? A funny thought.

"They" do not have that right to force gay ideology and religious beliefs on others

Oh, I see... so they don't have the right to do that, but you do, right?

There is no Christian holiness in same gender marriage.

So what? That doesn't mean you get the exclusive right to deny it, nor does it entitle you to a monopoly on marriage.

That's horse manure, and you know it. The law is not forcing any ideology. You are still free to think whatever you like about homosexuals, and you are still free to poison the minds of your children however you like. The only difference is, what you think about homosexuals will not be reflected in legislation.

You're being forced to divorce your wife and be gay? Wow, I'd complain too!

OK. We'll see how "tolerant" of the structure that is a Christian marriage, that being exclusively and immuatbly a man and a woman, plays out in a society cheering on the Gay Agenda.

Are you trying to say you’ll be forced to have a gay marriage?
No it doesn't. It wants your children to be themselves, regardless of whether they are gay, straight or bisexual.
"They" do not have that right to force gay ideology and religious beliefs on others. The Gay Agenda desires too much. It demands total complaince of a nature not seen since Roman power enslaved all.

What ideology are you being forced to believe? Nothing, that’s what. The “gay agenda”, as much as it can be called that, desires equality, nothing more or less. If you can’t deal with that, then the problem is with you.
The only ones who seem to want children to be a particular way - straight - are Christian fundamentalists.
So we don't have the rights afforded us under the Constitution or the Gospel?

What rights are you being denied? Be specific.

Holiness is important to Jesus, and therefore is important to His followers. The Apostles preached this most definately. There is no Christian holiness in same gender marriage.

So don’t have one. Don’t have them in your church. That’s fine, there are other places they can go.

But I agree, you and LGBT's can choose your own path to eternity. But don't force it on us anywhere we interact. Isn't that what you demand of us?

In what way is it being forced on you? Other that having to deal with the fact that some people are gay and they have the same rights as you, what are you having forced on you? Nobody is making you gay; no one is making you perform gay marriages; nobody is turning your children gay. Seriously, what is the problem?

It defies intellectualism to redefine marriage to include same gender spouses. How absurd that two men think they can be husband and wife. Or, two husbands, or, two wives. Two women think they can be each other's wife? Or husband? Insanity is now called academic decision.

60 or so years ago it was also 'absurd' to redefine marriage to include inter-racial spouses. More recently, it has been called 'absurd' to redefine the role of husband and wife as being 'co-equal' in power in the marriage. Our most distant ancestors may find it 'absurd' that marriage was re-defined to no longer include child brides.

How do you keep the Gay Agendaists from invading your Synagouge and kicking you ignorant, intolerant, hateful anti-gay bigots out and from being members?
I'm not even sure how to respond to this, because it's not grounded in reality.
Oh really? Which Rabbinic Sage would agree with you on that? C'mon now, Jews are not hated the world over because they throw darts better than everyone else.
Which Rabbinic Sage involved themselves that much in the politics of the country they lived in? Most of the time, they avoided getting involved like the plague, because they would be killed or harassed otherwise.

Then I hope you will be there for us in the coming years when the Gay Agenda comes for our total submission. We will still reject it and them and we will be forced to suffer for this.

I don't think so. There are still plenty of people who discriminate against, and persecute immigrants, women, and racial minorities throughout much of Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, and other southern states. Y'know, the Bible Belt, home of the Moral Majority. They are hardly being made to suffer for their attitudes, and failure to submit to the social pressures of equality that most of us would push on them. It tends to be something of a boon for politicians from this area.

I grew up in central Florida. During shop class (where the "teacher" neither taught nor supervised, he was merely present) would watch as most of the class would chant "Ian Greer is a queer!" while throwing things at me. I was randomly jumped by bullies and still have a scar over my eyebrow from one fight. My stepdad would call me "c---sucker" and "fa---t" during his many rampages, and even when relatively calm would also call me a queer. All of that with the irony that I wasn't even gay. I was just skinny, had long hair, and would rather read than play manly sports, and never had any interest in religion. My parents stuck me on a bus one Sunday which drove me to some backwoods church where I was baptized, and forced me to recite the Lord's Prayer over dinner, hoping it would fix me. Didn't work. I was given an F on a social studies assignment because I refused to state modern religions were different than ancient myths. I was approached by several students proclaiming I needed Jesus on a regular basis. Every morning walking to school I would see the Campus Crusade for Christ holding hands around the flag pole doing their prayers. Going home from school I would see protestors blocking the entrance of a New Age store called Merlin's Vision, shouting that witches will burn in hell.

Same old tired Reader's Digest Infidels and Freethinkers rant? I was an atheist ALL through my school years and never once heard a peep from the Sheep. I had long hair, was skinny and the best rock singer in the surrounding ten counties. And I LIVED the lifestyle;):D.

Never a Christian anti-intellectual tirade from any smarty pants Fundy. And they littered the land all around me. They wouldn't dare as I had aLL of the goofy atheist talking points down pat. The Christian Fundy that got me free thinking was the father of a babe I was trying to nail.

So please tell me all about how gays are ruling and Christians are being persecuted.

Prop 8 overturned.

(I thought I'd write in your language for that fact.)

I think one of us is a little more sincere than the other.
