Feeling ... really-tired earlier this-evening
I went to lay on the bed for an 'hour' which, at 9.30pm [now]
means, that it had stretched
to almost TWO hours before I awoke again
but yet... I find that after clicking on my shortcut to GE 50+
that I, am STILL 'signed-in' here......

Is this a SIGN ? that CF is 'feeling' BETTER ???????????
It wasnt a few days or, so... ago
when last I experienced my being signed-out, between posts/threads

Lovely !!!

Subject: FW: Breakfast at McDonalds
Date: Sun, 19 Apr 2009 00:50:15 -0700

A Return is Requested....
You'll see why.

Breakfast at McDonald's

This is a good story and is true, please read it all the way through until the end!
(After the story, there are some very interesting facts!):

I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3)
and have recently completed my college degree.

The last class I had to take was Sociology.

The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities
that I wish every human being had been graced with.

Her last project of the term was called, 'Smile.'

The class was asked to go out and smile at three people
and document their reactions.

I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone
and say hello anyway. So, I thought this would be a piece of cake, literally.

Soon after we were assigned the project
my husband, youngest son, and I
went out to McDonald's one crisp March morning.

It was just our way of sharing special playtime with our son.

We were standing in line, waiting to be served
when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away,
and then even my husband did.

I did not move an inch...
an overwhelming feeling of panic welled up inside of me
as I turned to see why they had moved.

As I turned around I smelled a horrible 'dirty body' smell
and there standing behind me were two poor homeless men.

As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me
he was 'smiling'

His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's Light
as he searched for acceptance.

He said, 'Good day' as he counted the few coins he had been clutching..

The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend.
I realized the second man was mentally challenged
and that the blue-eyed gentleman was his salvation.

I held my tears as I stood there with them.

The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted.

He said, 'Coffee is all Miss'
because that was all they could afford.
(If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something.
He just wanted to be warm).

Then I really felt it - the compulsion was so great
I almost reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes.

That is when I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me
judging my every action.

I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter
to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray.

I then walked around the corner to the table
that the men had chosen as a resting spot.
I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on
the blue-eyed gentleman's cold hand.

He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, 'Thank you.'

I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said,
'I did not do this for you. God is here working through me to give you hope.'

I started to cry as I walked away to join my husband and son.
When I sat down my husband smiled at me and said,
'That is why God gave you to me, Honey, to give me hope..'

We held hands for a moment and at that time, we knew
that only because of the Grace that we had been given were we able to give.

We are not church goers, but we are believers.

That day showed me the pure Light of God's sweet love.

I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand.

I turned in 'my project' and the instructor read it.

Then she looked up at me and said, 'Can I share this?'

I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class.

She began to read and that is when I knew
that we as human beings and being part of God
share this need to heal people and to be healed.

In my own way I had touched the people at McDonald's
my son,the instructor, and every soul that shared the classroom
on the last night I spent as a college student.

I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn:

UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE.

Much love and compassion is sent to each and every person
who may read this
and learn how to LOVE PEOPLE AND USE THINGS -

NOT LOVE THINGS AND USE PEOPLE.

There is an Angel sent to watch over you.

In order for her to work, you must pass this on
to the people you want watched over.

An Angel wrote:

Many people will walk in and out of your life,
but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart

To handle yourself, use your head..

To handle others, use your heart.

God Gives every bird it's food, but He does not throw it into its nest.

Send it back, you'll see why !

A box of gold

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

With a secret inside that has never been told

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

This box is priceless but as I see

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

The treasure inside is precious to me

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Today I share this treasure with thee

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

It's the treasure of friendship you've given me.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

If this comes back to you then you'll have a friend for life
but, if this becomes deleted, you are not a friend.

Send this to everyone you consider a friend!

It will grant you one wish and only one wish,

that is
if you decide to send this to others.
You can wish for anything.

Repeat your wish until you have stopped scrolling.
Make it count!

FOR YOUR WISH TO COME TRUE
YOU HAVE TO SEND IT TO: 3 PEOPLE -

YOUR WISH WILL COME TRUE EVENTUALLY

5 PEOPLE - YOUR WISH WILL COME TRUE IN 3 MONTHS

10 PEOPLE - YOUR WISH WILL COME TRUE IN 5 WEEKS

15 PEOPLE - YOUR WISH WILL COME TRUE IN 1 WEEK

CAN'T WAIT A WEEK???

22 People-Your Wish Will Come True In 1 Day!

****** **********REMEMBER**************

THIS MUST BE SENT OUT THE DAY YOU READ IT FOR YOU TO GET YOUR WISH

Thank you Mary

thankful for dave...he "healed" my ailin' computer

I deny 'responsibility' for any healing of, Brinny's charge

It was Brinny that decided that her PC was unwell
It was Brinny that sought and brought remedial care to her PC
It was Brinny that carried out this nursing to her PC

We, [all of us] should be able
to carry-out basic computer maintenance

I am indeed blessed...
to have been able to support a sister
by having some light to shine, into her shadows

Psalm 17

English (Douay-Rheims)

1 Unto the end, for David, the servant of the Lord, who spoke to the Lord the words of this canticle, in the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: and he said:
2 I will love thee, O Lord, my strength:
3 The Lord is my firmament, my refuge, and my deliverer. My God is my helper, and in him will I put my trust. My protector, and the horn of my salvation, and my support.
4 Praising, I will call upon the Lord: and I shall be saved from my enemies.
5 The sorrows of death surrounded me: and the torrents of iniquity troubled me.
6 The sorrows of hell encompassed me: and the snares of death prevented me.
7 In my affliction I called upon the Lord, and I cried to my God: And he heard my voice from his holy temple: and my cry before him came into his ears.
8 The earth shook and trembled: the foundations of the mountains were troubled and were moved, because he was angry with them.
9 There went up a smoke in his wrath: and a fire flamed from his face: coals were kindled by it.
10 He bowed the heavens, and came down, and darkness was under his feet.
11 And he ascended upon the cherubim, and he flew; he flew upon the wings of the winds.
12 And he made darkness his covert, his pavilion round about him: dark waters in the clouds of the air.
13 At the brightness that was before him the clouds passed, hail and coals of fire.
14 And the Lord thundered from heaven, and the Highest gave his voice: hail and coals of fire.
15 And he sent forth his arrows, and he scattered them: he multiplied lightnings, and troubled them.
16 Then the fountains of waters appeared, and the foundations of the world were discovered: At thy rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the spirit of thy wrath.
17 He sent from on high, and took me: and received me out of many waters.
18 He delivered me from my strongest enemies, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me.
19 They prevented me in the day of my affliction: and the Lord became my protector.
20 And he brought me forth into a large place: he saved me, because he was well pleased with me.
21 And the Lord will reward me according to my justice; and will repay me according to the cleanness of my hands:
22 Because I have kept the ways of the Lord; and have not done wickedly against my God.
23 For all his judgments are in my sight: and his justices I have not put away from me.
24 And I shall be spotless with him: and shall keep myself from my iniquity.
25 And the Lord will reward me according to my justice: and according to the cleanness of my hands before his eyes.
26 With the holy thou wilt be holy; and with the innocent man thou wilt be innocent:
27 And with the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.
28 For thou wilt save the humble people; but wilt bring down the eyes of the proud.
29 For thou lightest my lamp, O Lord: O my God, enlighten my darkness.
30 For by thee I shall be delivered from temptation; and through my God I shall go over a wall.
31 As for my God, his way is undefiled: the words of the Lord are fire-tried: he is the protector of all that trust in him.
32 For who is God but the Lord? or who is God but our God?
33 God, who hath girt me with strength; and made my way blameless.
34 Who hath made my feet like the feet of harts: and who setteth me upon high places.
35 Who teacheth my hands to war: and thou hast made my arms like a brazen bow.
36 And thou hast given me the protection of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath held me up: And thy discipline hath corrected me unto the end: and thy discipline, the same shall teach me.
37 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; and my feet are not weakened.
38 I will pursue after my enemies, and overtake them: and I will not turn again till they are consumed.
39 I will break them, and they shall not be able to stand: they shall fall under my feet.
40 And thou hast girded me with strength unto battle; and hast subdued under me them that rose up against me.
41 And thou hast made my enemies turn their back upon me, and hast destroyed them that hated me.
42 They cried, but there was none to save them, to the Lord: but he heard them not.
43 And I shall beat them as small as the dust before the wind; I shall bring them to nought, like the dirt in the streets.
44 Thou wilt deliver me from the contradictions of the people; thou wilt make me head of the Gentiles.
45 A people which I knew not, hath served me: at the hearing of the ear they have obeyed me.
46 The children that are strangers have lied to me, strange children have faded away, and have halted from their paths.
47 The Lord liveth, and blessed by my God, and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
48 O God, who avengest me, and subduest the people under me, my deliverer from my enraged enemies.
49 And thou wilt lift me up above them that rise up against me: from the unjust man thou wilt deliver me.
50 Therefore will I give glory to thee, O Lord, among the nations, and I will sing a psalm to thy name.
51 Giving great deliverance to his king, and showing mercy to David, his anointed: and to his seed for ever.
