Don't worry about it, Mark. It's best to seek the Lord through His Word rather than an experience. There are plenty of times in life we just don't "feel anything", and feelings are a poor indication of whether or not God is moving. Remember, we walk by faith and not by sight. We are never told in scripture to seek after signs and wonders, but to seek the Lord. Signs and wonders will follow the believer, not the believer follows the signs and wonders.

I do pray you find a place where the Word and Spirit are working together and your heart is filled. A place where you can use the gifts the Lord has given you. A place where you can develop relationships with believers. A place to call home. I pray the Lord leads you to it, and your job in that very city.

This is all SOooooo true!! Cindy, you have great wisdom and maturity. I'm so blessed to call you my friend.

Mark, I'm standing in agreement with this prayer. I'm asking right now for the Lord to bless you and your job search. Heavenly Father, bless Mark. Bless him as he seeks the job that awaits him. We know he will find what he seeks. Bring that job to him now. Let him be settled in his new job and location quickly. Let it be the place where he can grow and flourish. Let him be blessed with financial abundance, deep friendships, and great joy. Surround his life right now with your favor. Help him to find the right church where he can be planted and grow in his relationship with You. Bless him, Lord, protect him, strenghten him and touch him. Thank you, thank you Jesus. Amen.

Hey Everyone!

Its feast or famine with me and posting! School's out and the girls have had one non-stop play date with girlfriends since Wednesday. Love them, love summer, but having them here ALL THE TIME significantly reduces my study/prayer/devotional time. But I did hear from God both last night and early this morning. I'm to begin, yet again, another 21 day fast - this time of wheat, sugar and gulp, gulp, computer games. I play computer games while I listen to the revival or ministers. What I'm asking for is increased wisdom, discernment and a deepening presence of the Holy Spirit.

Binding and loosening. My book (Cindy Jacob's "Possessing the Gates...")describes binding as disempowering the enemy's holds on us. However, my ministry leader believes that when you bind something, you actually increase its hold on us. She contends that most people go about binding and loosening entirely opposite of what we should be doing! So question. How do you use binding and loosening?

Well, I got my application packets finished. *Sigh* Took forever to go through all of the material and narrow down what I wanted to send out.

You know, truth be told, I am well qualified for any of the four jobs I am applying for (right now). I could do a proficient job in any of them. No doubt about that. I also realize lots of other people could, too. So what will happen? Who knows?

So,yeah, any prayer is appreciated. I haven't freaked out yet, but it's only mid June....LOL. If one of these jobs doesn't come through, or ones similar in the next month or two, I might go do something totally different. I honestly don't know.

Maybe I'll hear a voice from God. Or win the lotto jackpot. Have never had either one, happen. Although one of my friends from CF mysteriously got gold fillings in her teeth this week.

God has the perfect job for you.. one that you will look forward to going to each day.. one that will be challenging enough so that you grow.. but not to demanding so that you get frustrated.. one with enough pay to need your needs..

He did it for me.. and He will do it for you.. Cause He loves us!

I see binding and loosing like this, be it right or be it wrong. I believe I learned this from one of the KCM broadcasts while Billye Brim was a guest. The scripture is saying, if you bind something on earth all of heaven will back you up, and the same if you loose something on earth.

The fast sounds excellent. Every time someone talks about fasting I am encouraged to fast. I think people can get into bondage about talking, or not talking about it. Jesus talked about 3 things together, when you fast, when you give, and when you pray. He said if you do it to be seen of men you lose your reward. Many people won't say one word at all about these things fearing they will lose their reward. I think the point is missed. I think it has to do with the motive and the intent of the heart, in the very reason for talking about it. There are times I wouldn't dare mention any of it to some people because there simply is no reason to. Sometimes I wouldn't talk about it b/c there is reason not to. Other times, I believe it is absolutely right to talk about it.

Someone is bound to ask me to give examples. Hope I can do this justice since I'm not particularly in a talkative mood. Firstly, I would not talk about it to one who is not interested in spiritual things. I'm not into swine trampling on pearls. Nor would I talk about it bringing it up out of the blue. This is where one may fall into boasting. I'm not into impressing anyone. Besides, oftentimes when we think we're impressing someone, we're really not. How many young men have peeled out, burning their tires on the pavement looking to impress? Was I impressed? Maybe at how stupid they are! Tires cost money. Why leave them on the road? Same with spiritual things. Boasting has a smell about it, like something putrid, something going bad.

The time and reason to talk about it is for edification. We can encourage others in our testimony. If we want to encourage, or if we desire prayer, this is acceptable in my opinion, and even reason to. Fasting in our western society where little is known about it almost necessitates research and help from those who have. I can't tell you how blessed I've been from reading books and going online to hear and learn form others about fasting. I could have killed myself years ago with my lack of knowledge of fasting if I tried those methods today at my age. And that may not be an exaggeration!

The same goes for testimonies on giving. I've heard countless testimonies on giving out of need, and the Lord supplying an abundant return. We've all heard those. And prayer. Obviously there are times to pray corporately, the Bible gives many examples of that, and of corporate fasting too. And there are times to pray alone, prayers no one knows of but the Lord.

I need to hear that verse just as much today as Mark does.. Things have been difficult here for the past few weeks...

Mike (hubby) and our ML were in Lakeland 3 weeks ago.. and our ML was not impressed. Mike just told him that he should not judge.. that God judges.

The Sunday after they got back, Mike decided that he wasn't going to say anything if someone asked him what he thought about Lakeland... other than to see the ML.

He asked the ML how his allergies were and he yelled at Mike that they were not allergies.. that Lakeland had made him sick.. Mike said lets go.. and I got my stuff.. the ML said if you go don't EVER come back.. so we sat back down..

He says we disrespected him..

That day.. as he stood on the altar.. at the pulpit.. he blasted Mike about basically everything he believes in..

After a healing conference in PA, we stopped at the church.. the service was over.. we went in.. placed our keys on the counter & left.

This week, we have been tying up some loose ends. I did the web site.. and I turned it over to the church.. and there were some other details..

The ML started to email me to "tell me the truth".. (truth according to the ML's version) and about what a bad job I did with the website.. all the 'mistakes' (although he'd been praising the work I did on it for the past 2 years..)

That he thanks God this happened before I could hurt him & his kids.. on.. and on.. and on..

I know this is a knee-jerk reaction from him.. he made us pastors in his church 2 years ago.. and untill this time, he has had no problem with either of us.. he's just upset that we left.. so he wants to get a few more kicks in..

He thinks it is about Lakeland.. it is not..

I can understand that people have differences of opinion about that.. BUT what I cannot understand is using God's altar to shoot firey darts & curses at people that God gave you.. (he did this to a lesser extent the week before to the lady he has named prophet for his ministry)

So I'm looking for a church for Sunday.. I've found a couple that look promising..

Last night I had a nightmare, the first I've had in years. I awoke crying and could not stop for quite awhile. I have done all I know to do about these situations and nothing is working, and I guess I just need to stop and let the Lord take care of things. I am so very tired though...

You've already done it - you showed up! Seriously, the main objective is to love and encourage one another with the Word and through prayer. My desire is to create an atmosphere where one can share what the Lord has been speaking to them about in the Word, to ask questions, to come here when in need of prayer, or in need of fellowship, or even just to hang out with friends, for surely friendships are forged in prayer and as we share the wondrous Word of God. This is a place where the Lord is to be magnified, His Word exalted, and where the Holy Spirit is flowing like a river.

Yes, a river, precious oil, like the wind, and like a fire.

This is shocking news. I'm stunned, as no doubt you were at the onset.

I can't say anything, but only to keep yourselves in the love of God. Um...I think it is the scripture in my siggy. Whatever you do, don't retaliate. Pray for him.

Father, I ask you lead Glenda and Mike to the place You've appointed them. I ask You to forgive the words and the actions of "ML" and bring a godly sorrow that produces repentance to him. Though we do not see everything eye to eye we are called as one body and to endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. As ask You to pour out great grace on all of them to bring this to pass. Flood them with love and forgiveness. Bring restoration, even if You call them to another place.

If anyone lacks wisdom let him ask of the Lord who gives liberally and upbraideth not. Lean not to your own understanding, but all your ways acknowledge the Lord and He will direct your steps. I pray the Lord gives clarity on how to handle what troubles you. I pray He strengthens you as He has abundantly promised to - Is. 40:31, Eph. 3 -that Christ may dwell in your heart strengthening you by His Spirit in the inner man, Col. 1 -strengthened with all might according to His mighty power.
"Fear not, for I will strengthen you, I hold you by My right hand."

What is is it you feel you need to do? Fast?

I have kept my dignity & have been very civil to him..

And I have prayed for him.. and his family.. because no matter what.. we still love them.. that is why it is so hard..

Yes, maybe that's what I need to do. Nothing else is working. But, you know, Cindy, I am pretty down anyway about some things, and I know God is moving me in a different direction. I'm willing to obey and go, and am doing so. but my heart is breaking. There is something else going on too that is really putting me in a bind and I cannot do anything about it. It's like things have come to a stand still. The "heavens are brass" thing is happening to me. I just feel I have not the energy to fast, or to pray. I have been stripped (if it was God doing it) of all my friends here, and have no one to stand with me and encourage me in anything right now. it's me and Him, and I feel like I am failing in my part. But I just do not have the strength to do anything. Right now I should be outside cleaning my front porch and mowing the grass, but I cannot. My head is splitting and I just don't feel well. Is it emotional or is it physical? I don't know, and I really just don't care either way.

This is only a suggestion, but you may want to consider a Daniel fast, or one as ral is doing. It's a partial fast, one that allows to perform your regular routine physically. It is just as hard on the flesh. Ask anyone who has done it. Any flesh helps us to hear the voice of the Lord more clearly. Ask Him what you should do and how long.
