What on earth are you talking about? If you knew jesus Christ, you would know that we are supposed to be peers, and equal before the father and yes, our prayers of faith is heard and answered.

I understand that. To hear you tell it, though, you are a higher authority than we are, particularly if we disagree with you.

Then speak like you understand that. I am not any higher in authority than any other Holy Spirit-filled Christian. We have the authority of Christ. All of us. Some choose to ignore that fact.

Once again: I couldn't care less whether or not people agree with me. It is when people come against the Word of God that I speak up strongly. He doesnt want people who are weak spiritually to read some of the stuff written here that is unchallenged and go off thinking they have heard the truth. We would be remiss to let error just stand there!

My main objection has always been the target market of these books. Little kids. I love the innocence I see in children. It comes from a freedom. Freedom from fears and many other anxieties we learn to deal with as we grow up. I've met few adults who exude innocence. Books depicting torture, murder, demon-like soul sucking torturous creatures, not to mention the evocation words like sorcery, witchcraft, necromancy, black magic will stir up simply aren't suitable for little children.

When a child under my roof goes to bed I want to see that innocent glow on their faces. No worries about something that's going to try and suck out their soul or some dark lord going to try to possess them or control their minds. This kind of stuff is what causes undo stress. Not to mention the idea that a witch might be casting a spell or curse on them.

Now there will come a time for kids to face all such ideas and notions about evil. But childhood is a time for unadulterated joy if it is possible to give to them. This is as close to God as we get without the renewing of our Spirits through the new birth. The joy and pleasures of innocence.

Innocence... Now that you mention the term, you make perfect sense. My innocense was broken between the ages of 10 and 13 and before that I never had much of a childhood because of the disputes between my mother, father, and stepfather. But I suppose that shielding the little ones from the monstrocities of reality will perserve their innocense... but if we are to go this route then we must be careful not to also perserve ignorance with our efforts. My mother shielded me from a lot of things and I am thankful for it, but when I hit 14, my world shattered. I was left wide open for the world to grab hold of me and leech what it could from me... So precautions either way are necessary... but it's getting harder and harder to do one without involving the other. The world is getting darker and darker by the hour and kids are giving into reality earlier and earlier. I won't say it is a lost cause, but I am afraid that one day, innocense will be out of the question.

Well, you did kind of creep me out there. But I got tired of going on with my argument when it wasn't going anywhere. I strongly believe in walking away from disputes... I like to avoid them.. but it's inevitable. Plus it's probably not the greatest thing for me at this point because I just ended up getting stressed out and my fever shot up and my throat started killing me. But that just makes everything complicated. If you truly believe that Satan was in this thread using me as his pawn, I have no objections.

Listen to a babies laughter. Nothing hinders the joy! You can see the light in their faces! It's a thing of beauty! Eventually we all become tainted but, when I met God the first time that's what was restored in me. I remembered God in my youth before being spoiled. That's a memory that can be very strong for a child. A joy greater then any pleasure this life can give. The joy of life itself the joy of God. Cherish and protect that in a child's life so the child has something to compare against the pleasures of carnality and sin.

We inherit the sin nature. Personally I believe it's a dormant seed till a certain point. I couldn't tell you what point but, I'm getting into an area of personal experience and revelation.

This is a pretty tired argument between you and I at this point. You seem to think anything is OK so long as it's fantasy. I believe thoughts are the birth place of all actions. We can't do anything without thinking imagining it first. So what we fantasize about is essentially what we do. Whether here in this physical realm or in the mind, it's emanations of our heart.

As I've stated HP doesn't interest me as a book to read. Only it's possible effects on the youth because of the content. The devil isn't in the book itself but kids could easily be guided into occult by reading the books because it portrays evil as good i.e. the practice of witchcraft.
