  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

THE BRIDEGROOM

Come see our bridegroom with outstretched arms,
His eyes search deep and piercing into His beloved’s eyes,
He says” My beloved I long for you to come up here,
Rise up my bride, my fair one come away with me,”

Let the bride in unison with the Spirit say “Come.”
Longing for your sweet presence we come,
We come thirsting and drinking from the living waters,
In passionate pursuit of the One who we adore,

Feeling that longing from down deep within,
For our dear Saviour who has freed us from sin,
We enter your courts with thanksgiving in our hearts,
Yielding wholly unto Him we make a new start.

The glory of the Lord transcends from His throne room,
Our beloved Saviour and King, the one coming soon,
We take our place caught up in the heavenlies with Him,
Moving right on into the Throne room with Him.

We gaze in wonderment at that wonderful glow,
Like a glorious rainbow encircling the one we adore, We see that beautiful compassionate love as He gazes upon us,
His bride, the one He adores, as He pours love out upon us.

Face to face with Christ our Lord, our bridegroom,
The one who has pursued us from the beginning,
Now here we are coming all the way home to Him.
Throughout all eternity His praises we will sing.

Holy, Holy, Holy are you, Lord God Almighty, you call us Your own,
Singing with the angels and elders around your throne,
“You’re worthy, oh Lord to receive all glory, honour and power,
Lord there is none like you, how we long for You in this hour.”

FEELING THAT LONGING FROM DEEP WITHIN....

Oh yes.

I am in such aching, painful longing and yet feeling such heights of delight and romance with Him. The feelings of aching yearning and romance linger together. There are times all I can do is cry and just let His touch take over me as I lay still and "know" it all with Him in private.

Lovely poem..!

It happened two years ago. I was watching "The Passion" and knelt down in the living room, near the end of the film. I was just kneeling there, worshipping Him.

All of a sudden I felt Him standing behind me...so I turned still on my knees to kneel at His feet.
In Spirit I felt Him bend down, and He picked up my left hand. In Spirit He placed a ring on my finger. And He gave me to understand that He takes my current wedding ring for Himself now, too. Til that Day!

 I was so happy! And still am whenever I remember.
He's played some of our songs on the radio for me today, at certain times.

Thank you for asking! I have to go but I will be back tonight I hope.

Monica, you wrote:

LOL yeah! I wonder why though...hmm...I've told Jesus so many times that I'd love to see Him, but often I feel like He's 'saving' that for a special time. Well..He knows what He's doing ;) it's all for the best; and He knows what we need.

Jesus said, "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe." Maybe he's saving that blessing for YOU! I feel that about the fact that I never seem to see his face in my dreams, and only once did in a "vision" in my mind.

Comment about the fairytalelike happenings in Amy's story: I think that the reality of Heaven is what makes us imagine such things as fairytales. Like the moments of exquisite longings described in C.S. Lewis' "Surprised by Joy."

AmyLisa, how wonderful, the moment when Jesus made you his beloved!

I had a friend who was a Mormon who was helping me prepare my wedding dress for my big day with Jesus. She asked me if it was a celestial marriage. I didn't know how to answer, since the term refers to a Mormon belief, the belief that if a Mormon couple marry in their temple they will be married for eternity instead of just as long as both shall live.
If I had that moment to live over again, I would have told my friend that this is THE Celestial Marriage.

(Sadly, my friend backed out of being in my ceremony for some reason. She was going to be my bridesmaid.)

Welcome, Irene, and thank you for your beautiful poem.

RobinLayne,
What you shared about Heaven....I agree! In Tommy Tenney's book, "Finding Favor With The King," he talks about how the longing in our hearts for the "fairytale romance" is placed there by God. Cause He IS the Prince, the King who comes on His white horse to take us away to His Kingdom!:swoon:

Yes, on the day Jesus gave me His ring, I was surprised. I had long thought of myself as His Bride, and He had told me I was. But this was different somehow. I felt very honored and humbled at the same time. Remembering this really helps me too, if I ever doubt. I can go back to that and I KNOW.

I think the weddings you and Amy had are Wonderful!!!!!

My understanding is that the Bride is the Church. She is mentioned as such in some of the epistles. But to the Lord the Church and the remnant of Israel may be one and the same. I will check out the scriptures you cited and if you like will look up the ones I referred to and post them here as well.

anybody else want to comment?

Isha's Dream

Chapter three

Chapter Three

The revelation came first in her heart. Isha’s words spilled out hurriedly, “It is him, Yochannan the beloved apostle!” Bride watched a tall slender figure walking over the grassy hill toward the ea of Galilee. Yeshua had brought Isha again to Galilee. He also gazed at the young man and nodded with a smile, “Yes. You always wanted to meet him Isha.”
Bride clapped her hands. “Oh yes, yes!”

No sooner had she clapped her hands when Isha found herself standing right in front of Yochannan the beloved apostle. He appeared just as she had always imagined him, a young man in his first adult years, with huge dark eyes and a smooth face framed by spiraling black hair. His square jaw and the contour of his cheeks appeared as though they had been sculpted by a fine artist.

Yeshua presented Isha, taking her by the hand. “This is my dear love.”
Yochannan smiled and bowed deeply to her, “Bride of my Lord ~ welcome.”
She looked at the young apostle and was filled with wonder. “You were his best loved disciple!” Isha exclaimed. “Oh you must tell me all about your life with him.”
“We are all the best loved of our Lord.” Yochannan observed while toying with the fringe on his white cloak. He offered Isha a seat beside him on a flat rock overlooking the sea. “I would gladly tell you about my life with Yeshua. He and I used to sit in this very place gazing at the sea.” Wistfully he shook his head. “How Yeshua loved the Galilee.”
“You will tell her all my secrets.” Yeshua mused.
Yochannan laughed. “It is no secret that the sea was one of your great loves.”
“Indeed, no secrets would I keep from my friends.” Yeshua replied and returned his smile.
“I want to know everything! Please tell me all you can Yochannan.” Isha pleaded.
She turned towards the Savior to seek his permission but to her surprise he was no where in sight. “But he was just here! He only just spoke to us.” Her lips pulled down in disappointment.
“He is here.” Yochannan assured her. “You cannot see him, but surely your heart tells you he is everywhere? I believe he is preparing something very special for you. You should be glad.”
Isha nodded. “Yes. My heart does tell me he is here.”
“Of course he is!” agreed the beloved disciple. As Bride looked at Yocahnnan she thought him to be quite handsome but no one could rival her Yeshua. Her heart swelled recalling the Messiah’s beauty and how his comeliness invaded her senses the first time she saw him in New Jerusalem.
Yochannan was speaking, awakening Isha from her daydream.
“I recall one day when the Master was speaking by the waters edge. There were so many people crowding him that they nearly pushed him right into the water. Poor Yeshua, the look that he gave Yacov and I was almost desperate! We were grateful for Kepha’s boat. You remember Kepha, do you not?”
Isha nodded enthusiastically, “Yes, yes! Kepha…Peter.”
“I think his boat saved Yeshua from sure embarrassment as he would have gone, robe and all into the waves.”
Isha laughed picturing Yeshua gasping, arms flailing, tangled in his robe, his hair clinging to his face, the entire multitude astounded to see a very human Messiah and Jochannan and Yacov rushing to rescue him.
“Oh Yochannan!’ she cried, “I am glad Kepha had his boat ready.”
“Yeshua always told us to have the boat ready.” Said Yochannan . “I am glad that we obeyed.
Sometimes there were so many people coming and going that we were unable to eat. And when Yeshua called a meeting on this hill where we are sitting, it was no easy going event. Some people traveled days to get here. And things were much worse for the sick, the crippled and deformed. They were willing to endure anything just to get near the Master. They climbed this hill…such crowds.”

Young Yochaanan appeared as though he were living the long ago events. He looked across the hills remembering. “At first I thought it was wonderful all those people traveling so far to be with my Lord. I believed that for the longest time.” The enthusiasm fled his face as he spoke in hushed tones. “We were all caught up in the excitement. I was right in the thick of things, seeing signs and wonders.-miracles. Many envied me because I was his disciple and privileged to share his company. I was his proud apostle. Not until the third year of following him did I see the truth.”
Bride leaned forward, “The truth?”
“Yes the sad truth.” He replied. “Very few really cared about Yeshua. His message, his desires they ignored. All they wanted was his miracles and what he could do for them.”
There was a hint of a smile on Yochanna’s lips. It was the kind of smile a person gives when a wrong doing is uncovered, a sad, knowing smile. He nodded slowly. “He knew. Yeshua knew what was in the heart of men. And it broke him Isha.” A tear stood in the disciple’s eyes. “But his love never waned.”
“And no matter how many times they rejected him he always responded with open arms.”
said Isha, her own heart breaking.
Yochannaan waved his hand. “Yet, there was one thing the Master could not tolerate and that was religious hypocrites!” He groaned.
“The Phariseees?” asked Bride.
“You would not want to be a Pharisee standing in the Master’s path when he cleansed. the Temple” exclaimed Yochannan.
“You were there? Of course you were!”
“I saw him make a whip from some loose cords scattered on the temple floor. He struck the money changers..” Yochannan laughed and swung his arm in a gesture as though cracking a whip. “I tell you that scourge was not made of feathers.”
Isha wrapped her arms around her body cringing at the thought of being stuck by that whip. She was relieved that she was not the object of Yeshua’s righteous anger.
“You are not stubborn and hard hearted like the Phariseees.” Yochannan said.
“The only cords you shall know is the cords of his mercy and love.”
Bride smiled. “It is only because of Yeshua’s grace that I am a yielded bride. I will gladly receive those cords if they bind me to the heart of my Beloved.”

More to come...

Wonderful!

...but the editor in me wants to make it even better by clearing up the punctuation errors...

Writing like this deserves to be showcased in the best possible way, just like a great painting deserves to be framed.

Can I proofread your work, Amy, pretty please? My skills are so wasted when I can't use them where they are deserved.
