They are the same because when "Christ returns" evil will cease. It is unfortunate that you cannot see the connection.

There is a connection, but this thread is only addressing the argument that Christ could have returned, to demonstrate that those who hold to such a belief aren't really thinking it through properly in light of God's omniscience and His declaring of what would come to pass prior to Christ's return.

I think there was a brief brain lapse... there are rules that just don't apply here... in the progressive section its a free for all, as long as its civil....

Evidently I am in the wrong place then, as I do believe in order. You can keep your chaos to yourself. It wont survive long!

And once the FSBs go into effect you will learn fast that such behavior will not be tolerated in the debate section.

no need to becoming threatening Woob, which I have noticed is what you do when people don't share your beliefs.... this is not the debate section, it is the progressive section and I am within the guidelines.... as for what is tolerated, as long as you are civil and polite you are welcomed here.... have a good day...

You see, the difference between you and me is that you have no issue with referring to God as a liar, but I do have an issue with such a thing, as I take God at His word, and believe what it says.
Obviously, you have difficulty differentiating between what the Creator has said and what men have said He did say.

And your attempts to become our teacher won't fly. Wake up.

Who said we want to be in a place where you, in your present state of mind, are happy?

I accept the SDA view on this regarding the calculation of the timetable. However, at this time I am still wrestling with the part about the IJ.
Strange that you should have a problem when others wrestle, in their way, with what you accept.

I think Peter best answers this question in 2nd Peter chapter 3.

Personnal I think Jesus has to come back within the next 100 years. After that there will be no body alive on this planet for Jesus to meet as the magnetic field will have collasped by then and killed everything on this planet.

I think you have been reading those doomsday predictions again...

You don't believe the magnetic field is getting weaker and that is one of the reasons cancers are increasing?

They say the magnetic field has lost 40% of its strength over the last 1000 years. The half life of the field is 1400 years approx.

nope I don't believe it, and causal factors of cancer are numerous and not as simple as some would suggest.... doomsday predictions are usually overrated and leave out the involvement of The Creator...

So you don't believe the magnetic field of the planet is weakening?

not particularly.... based on what? compared to what? it could be that the magnetic field fluctuates and that we are in a down cycle.... not enough data to make a conclusion....

Does a magnet ever increase its strength or does it lose its strength over a period of time?

It is a well known fact that the magnetic field has lost strength since Adam sinned.

Earth's Magnetic Field
There are two prevalent theories dealing with the earth’s magnetic field. The first is the “dynamo” theory and the second the dynamic-decay theory. They dynamo theory proposes that the earth’s magnetic field is produced as complex chemical processes transform heat energy into electrical energy. The theory follows that this process has maintained the field for roughly billions of years.
The theory, however, has no good explanation for the decay of the strength of the field. Researchers began taking careful measurements of the field’s electrical energy in 1829 and have found it to be losing strength. [3] Data shows that since that time the field’s energy has decreased by 14%. Further data gathered from archaeomagnetism has shown that the strength of the field in 1000 A.D. was about 40% greater than today’s measurements. This data also shows that the field strength has been in a steady decline since that time. [2] This decay of field strength is explained by physicist Dr. Thomas Barnes as the result of slow energy loss due to the electrical resistance of the earth’s core.
An original theory known as the free-decay theory assumed that this decay had been constant since the beginning of the field’s existence. Based on this assumption the theory’s creators extrapolated the data backward arriving at maxim age for the field of about 10,000 years. The theory did not coincide, however, with the newer archeomagnetic data. [2] This data instead shows large fluctuations in the field’s intensity around 3 B.C. The last fluctuation brought the field’s intensity to point about 50% higher than today’s measurements from which it declined with increasing speed until approximately 1000 A.D. when the rate of decay was nearly equal to the present rate. (See figure one from [1]) Further, paleomagnetic data shows that the earth’s magnetic field reversed in polarity hundreds of times during the formation of geologic strata. With this evidence a constant decay theory was not acceptable.

a well known fact to whom? Since humans were not measuring the magnetic field at the time of creation how do people know what it was then or are they speculating?
