CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I know I haven't been here long but I just received a call from my husband. His coworker's brother is dying from the same thing that our Josh died from - an overdose after being pulled over by the police. He is being airlifted to a nearby hospital and is not expected to make it. I have no idea if this young man is saved or not. PLEASE help us pray for this young man - his name is Jeff.

I am impressed by the Spirit of the Lord to share this scripture. I pray those whom it will minister to will take the time to meditate in it now.
Romans 7:21 I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good.
22 For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man,
23 but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.
24 Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?
25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!
