CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello philothei! Today was another good day in the life of a restaurant operator. Although I did have to send Kassam out to fetch more onions as the ones my brother got were rotten!

Luckily there were no attacks today (thank god) but the City is still on edge. There are still military police present near Important places like the spice Market.

Did you guys have trouble getting on CF today? It kept timing out on me and I couldn't get on. Then I had to leave for a few hours. Now I have to tidy up the house because the extended family is coming over for Greg's b-day.

To be honest with you, I haven't even gone to get the cake yet! Greg has some finals tomorrow and he's being very difficult. He doesn't really want to celebrate his b-day, but his grandparents are real into celebrating and right now I'm not sure what to do.
I understand that he doesn't have time to entertain, but he's really putting us in an uncomfortable situation!!!

Everything worked out. Greg gave in and we all went to Johnny Carrabbas to eat and came home and had chocolate cake and watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding!!!

Good night! Time to snuggle up with the dog (the four legged kind, hubs is gone 
). I fooled the dog that he was gonna be locked up for the night and he was going thru all kinds of spiel to get me to let him snuggle with me. Then he was so happy when he realized he gets to stay out tonight that he ran around the house like a maniac. DOGS!....

Chicken Marsala is what I usually get, but tonight I wasn't hungry so I got the Minestrone soup (it is also great).How exciting! Greg's date watch!!!
