Build a relationship with them and go from there... Meet the person where they're at. I could go further in my ideas, but when it comes down to it I think building a relationship with the person and trying to be an example of Jesus in their life is usually the way I go.

There is no greater way to show the love of Jesus than how we live our life. Theres a British saying when somebody is really joyful, somebody will say "I'll have a pint of what he is having". We need to live our lives so people say about us "I'll have what he is having". Unfortunately I fall short everyday, but I will still try my best.

I think Ray Comfort has a good way of sharing the gospel. He has a really interesting sermon called "Hells Best Kept Secret" - which isn't about hell. That shows a simple way of sharing the truth of Christ.

I firmly feel forming a relationship with a person is a good way to go. And i dont come right out and say im a Christian, i dont hide nor lie about it. If something is raised that leads to it i mention it. Unless asked or in a conversation about it then i dont talk much about it. This way they see how i live my life, and not just hear what i say. I love the quote "Spread the Gospel, and when necessary use words".

"Spread the Gospel, and when necessary use words".

Nice quote, but to bad it isn't biblical. For it is always necessary to use words.

"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? " - Romans 10:14

In light of 2 Corinthians 6:2, where Paul says that "Today is the day of salvation". When should we share the Gospel?

What does Jesus say are the most important things? In my understanding, he says to keep the two commandments of love God and love your neighbour are the most crucial things. Now this is therefore how we should share the gospel with people. Yes, there's a time and place for just coming out and talking about Scripture, but in general I find, as others have said, that the best way is by the way you act and through relationships.

Everything happens in it's own time, and we can't dictate what that is(Ecclesiastes 3). I can definitely say that with some of my friends, if I initially started the conversation when I met them first with - Hi, I'm a Christian, and I believe..., then they wouldn't have been interested in friendship. This would therefore mean the fruitful conversations since would never have happened.

A great quote I heard once was - "don't make friends in order to evangelise, but make friends because you like the person."

Of course it's important not to hide your faith, as stated in Luke 12:8,9 among other places, but that doesn't imply we should give everyone an overview of the gospel the moment we meet them.

And in my experience, the way you act will then create people to ask questions, and these will be on their terms, so they won't feel pressured, and therefore will open up more, and be more willing to listen to what you have to say.

to be relative without comprimising the truth. We live in a postmodern age. Jesus was relative when he was here but he still didn't back down from the reasons he came, he spoke the gut wrenching truth. He didn't sugar coat it, hell is real and there is no room for stratling it. So I would first earn my right to be heard among the crowd. Respect people, if your a real Christian they will notice and sometimes they will come to you with the questions. Just be real and let the holy Spirit do his work. When talking to them, put yourself in their shoes-guard your heart but talk to them not at them. They are people too. It is Christ in your heart that they will be drawn too, but guard your heart because there is still an enemy that wants to take that away. Figure out what their culture is all about without being to forward. You can be relative to their culture without comprimising your relationship with Jesus. That is where people need to start.
