honestly? i don't know. i'm not feeling very worthy right now. but when i help others, not just tell them they're loved but actually love them, i feel pretty content in there being hope to feeling worthy.

i don't think i'd be the one to thank as i think i have very little choice in who i am. you'd have to thank everything i've ever experienced, everyone i've ever come into contact with, and so forth and so on.

however, that squid head guy is either davy jones or a fisherman who thinks smelling fishy will help with the catch.

perhaps greater than the sum of the parts, but each of the parts was integral to forming who i am. while some of it was great and other parts horrible, i think each element helped me to become who i am at this very minute. perhaps i interpreted how to view each thing, but i doubt i would be me without the parts having been there to begin with.

if credit is due to only one thing, i'd say it would be god. i certainly don't feel comfy taking credit for anything.

as for what makes me feel listened to, its what happens after. that someone can tell if i am upset or happy without me necessarily having to spell it out beforehand. that someone can figure the right questions to ask. that they don't come off as entirely neutral to what i've said, they don't try to change the subject when it gets uncomfy but instead insists that i stay there and hold my hand through it.

when someone knows if i need a hug or a laugh, to get away or see a movie, to talk or be left alone... that's when i feel listened to.

when i don't have to say "help" but they offer it first.

i dont think words need to be exchanged to feel listened to. i just think words are the easiest way for it to happen.
