  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hmm. Did he go there...

...to look for that girl? Nadia? Didn't Kelvin send him there? Or am I seriously confused? (that's probably it :D)

Yes, the CIA nabbed him in London. They said they'd give him information about Nadia in exchange for infiltrating a terrorist group in Sydney. They told him she was in California, and he was flying form Sydney to LA to find her.

Wow, I need to watch the old seasons again. I'm ashamed of myself for barely remembering that. Some Lost addict I am. :(

I think it's time that you leave that little island you live on and move to America!!!

How about you? are you going to move to America too?
I've been tempted by the idea at times. eBay is so much easier for you guys. :(

Maybe if you guys started showing Lost on Tuesdays, while Canadian networks continued to show it on Wednesdays.

Hmmm...

that was some compass heading. Maybe something supernatural really is at play...

So...the mysterious `Flame Station' turned out to be a rundown farmhouse above a handfull of tunnels.

Danielles comment right before they went in was enlightening: she had survived as long as she had by avoiding such situations...which brings forth the possibility that she'd had similiar such opportunities before (possibly a near run-in with Kelvin or Radzinsky?)

This guy that was there (Patchy/Mikail)...his whole story and actions do not compute. He opened fire initially on Sayid because he thought Sayid was a `hostile'...yet he was sheltering a `hostile' at the same time, and appears to actually be one himself. Yet he was apparently originally recruited by Dharma?

Yet, we did learn a few things - like what the cable into the water was for, and that Dharma personel were brought here by submarine (does this circumvent problems that would prevent normal surface ships from going to and from the island?)

Then there was the `purge' or civil war between Dharma and the hostiles. It seems Dharma got arrogant and decided to do something about the human `pests' disrupting their projects...and got themselves wiped out for their efforts. This failed `purge' explains the secrecy and paranioa amongst Kelvin and company at the Swan - they were keeping hidden because the Dharma presence elsewhere had been wiped out. Yet the `others' (`hostiles') appear to have a fair knowledge of the Dharma installations and are not only in contact with the outside world, but place value on such contact. So, this would mean the `others'/`hostiles' are not and were not backwood savages, but sophisticated rivals, possibly linked with another corporation (Widmore???).

Also, something I noted a while back and continues to hold true: the `others' do not deal straightforwardly with the lostaways. In almost every encounter, there has been significant deception on their part, from Toms fake beard to Benry's lies. Patchy/Mikhail was no exception. Even Carl employed an element of deception in the way he used Sawyer during his failed escape attempt.

Also worth noting: Kelvin and Mikail were among the last Dharma recruits - and both were `spooks'.

The level of fanaticism shown by `Miss Klue' was disturbing in the extreme. Combined with the mention of BF Skinner being associated with the early Dharma project and `Room 23' where Carl was being brainwashed, it shows a very high degree of conditioning among the `others'.

And Sawyer getting creamed by Hurly at ping pong was a riot. That is twice (thrice) that Hurly has gotten the better of Sawyer.

All in all, this episode is one in which enough pieces of the puzzle were presented to almost present a picture as to what is happening on the island.

I guess we all know now that Patchy isn't Jacob.

Hurley to Sawyer: "Hurley, you can call me Hurley or Hugo "

So, Jack beat Sawyer at poker, Hurley beat him at ping pong. I guess the great con man ain't so great after all.

I felt so bad for Sayid when that dude got him to come to his resturaunt to be his new chef only to have the snot beat out of him. Then he gets locked in that room in the same manner that Benry got locked up.

And when he got shot by Patchy/Russian dude. I screamed Nooooooooo. Sayid can't die.

And stupid curious Locke. Why can't he just let buttons be. Their possible only means to communicate with the outside world blown up by entering two single numbers, 7 7. I wonder what signifigance those numbers might have, if any. Was it seven seven or seventy-seven.

When did Locke become an idiot?

And what is up with them not exchanging the most basic information with each other?!

Locke: Hey guys, look what happened when I beat the chess game! Asian Dharma Guy is giving me instructions!

Sayid: Hey John, the basement is wired with C-4, better not press 77, they might rather blow the place up than give it to the hostiles.

That aside, I thought it was a very good episode. Patchy is a liar, he was never with Dharma, but I don't get why Klugh wanted him to kill her, and then he wanted John to kill him. Are they that afraid of Benry and Isabel? Was she hiding out there because she'd done something bad and didn't want whatever punishment was going to be given to Juliette?

Best line of the episode:
Sawyer (looking disdainfully at Nikki): Who the hell are you??

That's what we've wanted to know! :D

I wish I were as smart as Sayid. Nothing sneaks by him.

I loved the fight scene between Patchy and Sayid. Patchy was dancing around the room like Mohammed Ali. Dancing like a butterfly... stinging like a bee.

I honestly believed Sayid when he said that he didn't know that woman with the scalded arms.

And yes... Locke is sooo dumb!!! All that useful information!!! Gone!!

And why did Ms. Klugh want to get shot??!?!?!

Sawyer got owned big time. I love it when he calls Hurley "Grimace" though. Heh.

I think he really thought that by pushing the buttons, a signal for help would go out to somewhere.

Remember what happened when he didn't push the button?

I'm guessing by the way it's been 2 days since Kate and the others have been gone that the van from last week must have run out of gas. Now their new form of entertainment; a ping pong table.

It was cool that Hurley gave Sawyer his girly magazines back at the end. I think I could like Sawyer if he wasn't such a hard-ass. He tries so hard not to be liked when I think deep down he wants to be loved and accepted but something or someone in his past hurt him so bad, it's hard for him. He was all happy and loving when he thought Kate loved him.

And yes, Locke, you are an idiot.

I know it's strange to see a spoiler in an episode that already aired, but it's a revelation about how the episode will affect later events (not really a huge revelation).

03/07 - Carlton Cuse reveals: Everyone will finally find out what that cable [that Sayid found in Season 1] is, that cable is coming into play before the end of this season in a major way.

Well a simple click answered my own dang question:

Klugh: Mikhail. Mikhail! You know what to do.
Mikhail: We still have another way [out].
Klugh: We cannot risk it. You know the conditions.
Mikhail: There is another way.
Klugh: They captured us. We will not let them to get into the territory.
Klugh: You know what to do. That's an order.
Mikhail: We still have another way!
Klugh (in English): Just do it, Mikhail.
Mikhail: Forgive me. (shoots)
