Yep, I believe true beauty lies in what's natural. To me, the prettiest girls are the ones who wear little or no makeup and keep their hair long and naturally colored (streaks and dark roots are hideous in my opinion, yuck.) I always admire the ones I see looking this way.

How bout light roots? ;)

I would love to get a tattoo, but I can't imagine being an 80 yr old woman, with wrinkly skin and a tatt. ;)

Hmmm maybe I should get one for my 30th. I don't wear any sort of metal jewellery so a tatt around my wrist would be the way to go.

I love my tattoos. I can't wait to get more.

"There is nothing that looks more trashy than a woman with a tattoo"

12voltman, while you have a right to your opinion, I can think of plenty things that look more trashy than a woman with a tattoo. For example, a twenty year old three hundred pound woman at the public pool wearing a two-piece bathing suit lugging around her five kids.

I personally would never get a tattoo, but I see nothing immoral about the practice.

I've never gotten a tattoo mainly because I figured that after a few months or a few years my life would have changed enough that I would regret having gotten that particular tattoo.

Hopefully you will get a girl who sees it that way, it might be difficult to find one though!

I also tend to wear clothes that hug my curves (well, what little I have) without being revealing. I think there's something incredibly alluring about snugly fitting clothes that aren't revealing and trashy. Right now I'm wearing precisely what my character is wearing, only with a white longsleeve under the black shortsleeve. Oh, and the black shirt says "Geek is sexy", haha. My green pants are my favorite pair :D

You are not alone. I don't wear makeup either, or color my hair, or wear nail polish, or lipstick (which I find to be the most hideous of all), etc. I used to keep my hair long, but I recently cut it very short. I think I like it that way, less hassle and no tangles. I also rarely shave my legs unless I might wear something where they'll show and sometimes not even then. I don't know that I wear things that hug my curves though. And I don't wear many shirts with logos or sayings of any sort. I also don't wear jewelry that often.

However, on the topic of tattoos... I don't care who has them, but I don't really want one. I think some look ok and that others are too much.

Tatoos are really popular where I live. I'd say half the kids I know between 18-22 have them or are planning to get them (guys and girls). They are especially popular with Christian guys who get religious symbols, crosses, bible verses, etc. The girls usually get something tiny and discrete while the guys plaster them on wherever they will get the most visibility.

I think no matter the message that they make a person look cheap and vulgar. Sort of like a person who wears a "Jesus 1st" lapel pin everywhere he goes ------- unfortunately, a tatoo is a lot harder to remove.

The whole popularity with tatoos is likely precursory to accepting a 666 mark on one's forehead or on one's hand.

What is it with the superstition over 666? Like walking under a ladder I would quite happily display that number, because I am not superstitious!

The number 666 doesn't have anything to do with Superstition. But that is for another thread.

If people want to mark themselves up go for it. I don't want one but that doesn't mean I don't like to look at others that are tastefully done. Nothing trashy.

Secularly, depends on what tattoo and what circumstances. Having a naked inappropriate content queen tattooed on your forehead will probably not be a good idea if you want to work in a bank, for example. Having no tattoo at all if you are part of a biker gang will seem at least very very weird to many people I guess. ;)

Surprisingly enough, my artist, who is incredibly talented, especially on geometrically based pieces, has not a single one.

You can throw away trash. There is little that can be done with regard to trashy in permanent ink.....

We are moving closer and not further away... What is another tatoo among so many.........?
Tattoos can be absolutely beautiful if done right and the right subject matter chosen. Its a practice that stretches back tens of thousands of years. Theres evidence that Neolithic man praticed tattooing using a needle made of bone.

He's smart! He's making money and not wasting it..... Give the fools (sorry) consumers exactly what they want and make money while the fad is fueling the fire.
