The Lord gave me A VISION: I heard “John McCain” and then “Manchurian Candidate.” Following that I saw Lindsay Graham followed by Barack Obama. Then I saw a black bat with its wings spread wide. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bat) I went back and forth several times between Obama and Graham and then I heard a song that Mandy Moore sang in “A Walk to Remember,” called “Only Hope.”

The vision continued with Lindsay Graham followed by Karl Rove. I Googled Karl Rove and it immediately yielded several links titled, “Karl Rove, Puppet Master.” The articles basically state that Karl Rove was George Bush’s “puppet master.” They called him “Bush’s brain.”
I didn’t know about Rove’s connection with Watergate, but this vision had a “Watergate” feel to it. I did remember that Rove was indicted on charges of perjury and lying to investigators under oath, which is what I was researching.
Ok, the vision continues with a list of names and I feel like I’m sitting in a courtroom and these people are all giving some kind of testimony:
Cindy McCain
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Karl Rove
Then, this song came into my head: I Need You To Love Me / Barlow Girl
Why? Why are you still here with me?
Didn’t you see what I’ve done?
In my shame I want to run,

My Understanding: Though I don’t understand all that the Lord has been showing me lately, what I do understand is that he is showing me much corruption in our government and that we can only depend upon HIM to be our Savior and our ONLY hope in these trying times.
I also believe the Lord wants us to do our homework on these men and women and to pray for guidance and insight and discernment concerning these people who ask us to trust them to lead us. This scripture above fits so perfectly. The Lord wants us to check out their fruit and to see if they really are who they say they are.
There is so much crooked stuff going on behind the scenes in our government that it is overwhelming at times. We certainly can not put our trust in man, but only in God.
I see here that the Lord is showing some kind of Watergate-type scandal most likely in connection with this present election. The first time I ever voted in an election when I was 22 years old was in 1972 and I voted for Richard Nixon and then shortly after he was reelected to his second term of office, the Watergate scandal broke wide open which eventually led to him resigning from office in 1974, I believe.
I get the sense that the players in this vision are all involved in some way in something of a similar nature. It had the feeling of some kind of investigation and people giving testimony and lying and perjury under oath and scandal.
The two songs the Lord gave me remind us that it is God’s love we need, not these men. We need to lift our hands and pray to be only God’s and to know that he truly is our ONLY hope! We need to hear what God’s plans are for us, not the plans of these men. We need to give the Lord all of us. We need to recognize that we have wasted too much time pushing God away and that we don’t deserve him. We need to stop taking his grace for granted. We need to repent of our sin and to accept God’s forgiveness and his saving grace in our lives. We need to stop keeping our hearts from God; stop pretending that we deserve what we already have. We need his love.
