What is this life without Your love?
Without my God on high
That when my eyes can’t search above
I feel as though I’ll die
What is this life when void of peace?
When hope has ceased to be
What’s left to do when tears increase?
And eyes no love can see
When trust has ventured out the door
When prayer is in decline
When worship’s left Salvation’s shore
And faith is no more mine
What is this life when grace I fail?
When day and night seem one
When pessimism drops its veil
Replacing hope long gone
What’s left to do but sit and weep?
Meander to and fro
Recalling nights of blissful sleep
Within Salvation’s flow
When heart and soul were in Your hand
When victory songs I’d sing
When love within was in command
And Jesus was Lord and King
Many in life reduced to tears
Have faced the great unknown
While Heaven’s Truth throughout the years
Has changed ones heart of stone
Few still believe You’re always near
With love with grace to give
That even now you’ll take one’s fear
Giving hope faith to live.....
