Work went pretty well today, I did the work from the spec I did on Friday. I was allocated 6 hours to do it and it took me just over 3 which is great, I'm improving.
I did something else that was one hour's worth of work so I got 7 hours done for the day.
I need to make a small change to my 6 hour job in the morning, what I did was to help a department but I need to hide it so its only visible to that department. I've been thinking about it and I'd have to use javascript which is cool, I love using it, its so powerful. I make a drop down list invisible when the form is called and if a certain department is chosen from a popup then the drop down is visible. There's the problem of having to have a hidden field and assigning it in a value if the drop down is invisible and not using it if the drop down is visible.
No I don't expect anybody to understand any of this but its nice to write it down and imagine that someone who reads this may realise why I'm so excited, I just love my job. I've had my ups and downs in it but God's blessing me in it and I feel like its exactly where God wants me to be and the best place to be is in the centre of His will

I can't switch off from work especially when I know what work I need to do the next day. I'm also having a meeting tomorrow with somebody who uses the system because a major part of it needs to be adapted for her department. That should really make for an interesting project which I'm really looking forward to. My boss is happy to not be present at the meeting as he is so busy at his client. He seems to trust me which is great, I just musn't let him down.
As far as studying is going, I'm doing Assembly language tonight which is fairly difficult, I haven't gotten into it well enough yet and I'm trying to make sense of the stuff I'm going over noe which is constants - numeric, character, string and floating point, its more difficult because I've looked at two programs and they don't explain exactly what the different things in the program are, hopefully that will come later on in the study guide.
