Why Islam is not for me

Why Islam is not for me

You better submit to Islam's Allah, or face sadistic torture:

“O ye who believe! Fight such of the disbelievers as are near to you and let them find hardness in you; and know that Allah is with the righteous.”
Chapter 9:123 (AL-TAUBA)

“Those who disbelieve in Our Signs, We shall soon cause them to enter Fire. As often as theirs skins are burnt up, We shall give them in exchange other skins that they may taste the punishment. Surely, Allah is Mighty, Wise.”
Chapter 4:57 (AL-NISA)

“As for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut for them; and boiling water will be poured down on their heads.”
Chapter 22:20 (AL-HAJJ)

Islam: a male chauvinist religion:

"Men are guardians over women because Allah has made some of them excel others, and because they (men) spend their wealth. So virtuous women are those who are obedient, and guard the secrets of their husbands with Allah's protection. And as for those (women) on whose part you fear disobedience, admonish them and leave them alone in their beds, and chastise them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Surely, Allah is High, Great.
Chapter 4:35 (AL-NISA)

Even in paradise women are reduced to the role of pleasure providers for men:
"Eat and drink in happiness because of what you used to do. Reclining on couches arranged in rows,' And We shall consort them with fair maidens having wide, beautiful eyes."
Chapter 52:20-21 (AL-TUR)

Muslims are told not to make friends with Jews and Christians:

"O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. And whoso among you takes them for friends is indeed one of them. Verily, Allah guides not the unjust people."
Chapter 5:52 (AL-MA'IDAH)

The Qur'an describes God as deceitful:

"And when thou recite the Qur'an, We put between thee and those who believe not in the Hereafter a hidden veil;
And we put coverings over their hearts lest they should understand it, and in their ears deafness. And when thou makest mention in the Qur'an of thy Lord alone, they turn their backs in aversion."
Chapter 17:46-47 (BANI ISRA'IL)

"And We shall confound their hearts and their eyes, as they believed not therein at the first time, and We shall leave them in their transgression to wander in distraction."
Chapter 6:111 (AL-AN'AM)

"So, whomsoever Allah wishes to guide, He expands his bosom for the acceptance of Islam; and as to him whom He wishes to let go astray, He makes his bosom narrow and close, as though he were mounting up into the skies. Thus does Allah inflict punishment on those who do not believe."
Chapter 6:126 (AL-AN'AM)

Your fate is predestined:

“And Allah creates you, then He causes you to die; and there are some among you who are driven to the worst part of life, with the result that they know nothing after having had knowledge. Surely, Allah is All-Knowing, Powerful.
Chapter 16:71 (AL-NAHL)

Paradise: the ultimate bait - or - What makes martyrdom attractive:

"Let those then fight in the cause of Allah who would sell their present life for the Hereafter. And whoso fights in the cause of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, We shall soon give him a great reward."
Chapter 4:75 (AL-NISA)

"Gardens of eternity! They will enter them. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold, and pearls; and their garments therein will be of silk.
And they will say, 'All praise belongs to Allah Who has removed grief from us. Surely, our Lord is Most Forgiving, most Appreciating.'
'Who has out of His bounty, settled us in the Abode of Eternity, where no toil will touch us, nor any sense of weariness affect us therein.'"
Chapter 35:34-36 (AL-FATIR)

"And He will reward them, for their steadfastness with a Garden and a raiment of silk. Reclining therein upon couches, they will find neither excessive heat nor excessive cold."
Chapter 76:13-14 (AL-DAHR)

"A description of the Garden promised to the righteous: therein are rivers of water which corrupt not; and rivers of milk of which the taste changes not; and rivers of wine, a delight to those who drink, and rivers of clarified honey. And in it will they have all kinds of fruit, and forgiveness from their Lord.
Can those who enjoy such bliss be like those who abide in the Fire and who are given boiling water to drink so that it tears their bowels?"
Chapter 47:16 (MUHAMMAD)
