God wants True Life, lost souls to share
Blind eyes to see The Light
While churches fail most everywhere
Grow empty day and night
Pastors try this, Pastors try that
Souls faithful take a seat
Though WELCOME is on the door mat
Few sinners wipe their feet
While God is the same as always
Modern man seeks a thrill
Churches are changing nowadays
Giving what sinners will
More songs, loud music and dancing
Bingo a modern craze
As more and more want romancing
So churches fail these days
More like, seek, the world than Jesus
Sports, TV, gambling halls
While ministers seek to please us
Less heed when Heaven calls
Has mammon more worth than souls now?
Large buildings filled with sin?
If God wants the filthiest wretch to bow
Eternal life to win
When sitting alone in a pew
Who speaks, shakes hands with a smile?
Pays any attention to you
While walking down the aisle
For decades it's happened to me
In churches far and wide
It's not impossible to see
