What is the first question that every Christian couple struggling to make it through the gauntlet of today's world ask?
Where do we draw the line in our physical relationship?
Most of us see this line as something that isn't drawn out in the bible. But it is. I know i didn't think the answer was drawn out there. The Bible says:
"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery. But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
-Mathew 5:27-28
But surely that is a stretch for today's male. Can men even control their thoughts? God says we can.
"No temptation has overtaken you that is unusual for human beings. But God is faithful, and he will not allow you to be tempted beyond your strength. Instead, along with the temptation he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to endure it."
-1st Corinthians 10:13
To help with things like thoughts i would recommend reading a book called "Every Man's Battle"
But Back to the "LINE". Anything that is dishonoring to God and is impure is crossing the line. So whenever anything sexual is done this is dishonoring to God. Anything that causes sexual arousal is dishonoring to God.
For those of you looking for a completely straight answer, i consider anything worse than a peck kiss (because it's never long enough to be arousing) dishonoring to God. That's when everything becomes about your and her pleasure and not about God anymore. wait until marriage for that stuff.
I know it's hard to keep the boundaries. But if you want to honor him in your relationship. Know where the line is. and stick to it.
