When I was growing up we used to have roooms in the church called "prayer rooms". I wonder where they went? These were rooms where people gathered for the sole purpose of praying usually one hour before any service. They would pray for the needs of the church family and a special annointing on the pastor as he brought the sermon.People did not wait for the pastor to pray with them for illnesses and problems they went to the prayer room.
Prayer warriors usually filled these rooms and at times prayed through the service. To many churches are closing in this country every year, churches we need to bring peace, comfort, and sense to the world we find ourselves in.
The early revivals of this country were started in the prayer rooms of churches by men and women just like us.People who hungered for the word of God and wanted a place to worship God. Churches were built, sermons preached and souls saved a direct result of praying people.God answers prayers maybe not the way we like or in our time but he does answer.
Maybe the thinking is that we have outgrown the need for prayer rooms I wholeheartedly disagree. Its time to reinstate prayer rooms and to use them.
