When righteousness resides within
When sin takes swiftly flight
Salvation’s come and can begin
To shine His perfect Light
When faith takes captive every doubt
When hope conquers despair
Victory; one’s heart can sing and shout
For all the world to share
When truth inside is seen to reign
When darkness starts to fade
Through faith in Christ we’re born again
And all our debts are paid
When self is seen to fade and die
When love takes up the lead
We’re children of our God on high
Abraham’s faithful seed
When arrogance comes crumbling down
When pride is less then low
Humility wearing her crown
With modesty can grow
When spiritual souls begin to see
When children understand
Disobedience will cease to be
And Christ can rule as planned
When Christ becomes one’s first and last
When charity’s all but rare
When evil deeds are of the past
God’s fruit is everywhere
Then Love will lead with grace one’s heart
With Christ before our eyes
