It's easy to pontificate about what we assume God is like, what we think He should be like, what we would do if we were Him... I will try not to do that. Better to say, what have my experiences taught me about God?
The most obvious thing about God (to me) is that He wants me to know Him. He gave me Christian parents, who raised me in the church, providing a good foundation. He has always been a part of my life, although I haven't always given Him the consideration He deserves. He has been patient, though. He knew that I would come back to Him on my own, rather than being forced. The way I see it, in a world this broken, the only reasonable response is to turn to God.
Even though it has taken me years to fully appreciate Him, He has always been there. What does that say about God? He's patient.
