But when Jesus heard it, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified thereby.
John 11:4
For most people, what we see is what we often go with. It becomes about what our natural senses are telling us. If we feel sick, we claim sickness but the truth is that we are the WELL that the devil is trying to make sick. If we are at a place of lack we claim poverty. Yet we are the rich/wealthy that the devil is trying to make poor. Basically we tend to speak what's contrary to the truth of God.
Is it not said in the Word that "I have been young, and now am old; Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his seed begging bread.
Ps 37:25"
By virtue of knowing Christ and Him dwelling in us, we are righteous. Not because of anything we've done but because of who He is. If it depended on our own righteousness by works, we would have something to worry about because it would never be good enough. But thank God for HIS righteousness that grants access to all that Jesus Christ has. We are co-heirs with Christ.
When Jesus spoke about Lazarus, He said that the sickness would not be unto death. Yet in the physical, he actually died and not for a few hours!!! He was dead for 4 days by the time Jesus Christ showed up!! Yet what did Jesus say??
For most of us, we go by what we see and feel instead of what God has SAID. We get so caught up in the physical that we miss out on the supernatural. We are so used to this natural world that we tend to be more keen to it over the spiritual. Jesus was not shocked to find Lazarus 'dead'.
In our lives, what has God told us? What has He spoken to you about that physically seems contrary to what you heard Him say? What do you believe what you see naturally or what HE said to you?
God has said that He will never leave nor forsake you. Do you believe that or do you choose to go with the loneliness that you have physically been accustomed to?
God loves ALL OF US ALL THE TIME. But yet there are times we think because of this or the other, His love may not be as much. That is a lie. He loves us despite of who we are. I heard a funny quote, "God does not love us because we are lovely, but because HE IS LOVE" He can't go against His nature.
But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 5:8
You're blessed!
