Here's some silly and some serious poems. PLEASE leave a comment for me no matter what you thought of them.
I'm going to major in creative writing/journalism, Lord willing, so feedback is great. Right now my writing is kind of a hobby of mine...along with photography. (If you haven't checked out my scenery photos I uploaded onto my homepage, I would appreciate you also did that and gave me feedback on those, as well. Thank you!).
So...here they are. *Be on the lookout for symbolism!*
Tossed about here and there,
I’m up then down everywhere.
In and out and all around,
Then I crash onto the ground.
Falling, falling, twelve feet high,
Then onto the sand, where I seem to die!
But I don’t – I rise again,
Then do it over, and go back to where I’ve been.
Crest, trough, crest, trough, bouncing, foaming.
Crest, trough, crest, trough, I continue roaming.
Up, down, up, down, crash onto the ground.
Will a peaceful life for me ever be found?
This city is way too clean,
And that’s because we’re “going green” –
I think I’m going to scream!
There once was a girl named Sherry
Whose face turned bright red like a cherry.
She’d run into a wall
In front of them all,
And is still very red like a berry.
So...here they are. *Be on the lookout for symbolism!*
* Imagery *
Sky’s blue,
Ocean’s green,
I love you
And you love me.
