The devil too has planted seeds
Amidst The Father’s wheat
On evil thoughts it loves to feed
And thrive on gross deceit
Down deep inside they lie in wait
Pretending not to be!
But on occasion, lust or hate
May rise for all to see
Till then, they hide beneath the earth
Inside our flesh and bone
Each evil thought, could quickly birth
A heart of hardened stone
When this in truth we understand
It’s time to turn to God
In Christ, to clean, to plough the land
And turn up every sod
Rip out the roots, each evil weed
Allow no stone remain
So God may sow His righteous seed
And send His precious rain –Jas.5:7
From self, no thorn will fade away
No stone, will turn to dust
But if we wield God’s sword today
They’ll fall with every thrust
If in our faith, we doubt each doubt
We smile, where others frown
There’s not a stone we can’t cast out
No weed, we can’t cut down
Upon the heap they’ll meet the flame
As refuse, bound to die
While rain to us in Jesus’ name
Will pour from God on high…
