John 2:1-11 describes Jesus' first miracle, "The Wedding at Cana".
Below, a musing about verses 3-5 (NKJV, bold is mine)
3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”
4 Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.”
5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
Jesus said to his mother, “The hour is not yet”.
She, prepared from his birth, discerned the first minute,
abrupt miracle among sixty or more from that day,
but now, the best for last, in an instant aged.
Mary’s "own soul shall be pierced*—that thought quickly faded*
as dancers encircled and new wine elated
the celebrants’ hearts amidst whirling cheers,
feet moving to the beat, the wed couple’s first year.
