Wanting and working--
God moves us to bring these forth:
Life of the reborn. ^
Children without gripe.
Whine, displaced by word of life,
Sign that we run well.^^
Christ took hold of us!
Resurrection-faith thus grabs,
Tightly, as we grip.^^^
___________
^ For God is the One working in you both the wanting
and the working, for His good-pleasure (Phillipians 2:13 DLNT)
^^ 14 Be doing all things without grumblings and arguments
15 in-order-that you may become blameless and innocent, children
of God without blemish amidst a crooked and perverted generation,
among whom you are shining as lights in the world, 16 holding out
the word of life--for a boast for me in the day of Christ that I did not
run in vain nor labor in vain! (Phillipians 2:14-16 DLNT)
^^^ 12 Not that I have obtained it or have already been made perfect,
but I am pressing-on to see if I may indeed take-hold-of that for which
also I was taken hold of by Christ Jesus. 13 Brothers, I do consider myself
to have taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things behind and
stretching toward the things-ahead, 14 I am pressing-on toward the goal
for the prize of the upward calling from God in Christ Jesus.
(Phillipians 3:12-14 DLNT)
