In today's world (and previously) the whole idea for those seeking dominance has always been to control the narrative. This however is of a global matter for the first time, not nationalistic in nature as in the past. When you consider that today Corporatism (the ultimate globalism/Babel/one world authority) controls the media (through ownership), you will understand the narrative promoted is the will of the world of adversarial man (especially those at the pinnacle of Corporatism) and it is definitely not built upon the will of God. This is why Jesus promoted 'Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth as it is in Heaven' as an alternative, a remedy, and a hint of things to come. We also saw at the time, how the will of man dealt with that idea where God would remove the oppressive power of man.
Any wonder since the advent of the internet, a media which outshone the narrative controlling outlets of print, radio and television, that the previous narrative of love thy neighbour upon which civilizations were built (which other peoples flocked to, and still do) has all but disappeared and so quickly also? It kept the masses subdued at one time but today it is beneficial to authority to keep them stirred up. No profit or power was there in that old set of values on a global basis, except for perhaps the church. Times have changed.
It is time for people to stop playing their self defeating 'culture war' games while practicing divisiveness among themselves, and stand up to these powers of self interest that are building back better for their self serving cause, all while they remove our ability to protest against anti-Christ based world governing making it's big play. It all boils down to, not politics or business, but being a matter of good against evil, and good is now all but extinct in spite of the saviour image the adversarial spirit likes to portray itself as. Look at how fast things have changed lately, and it hasn't even gotten up to speed yet.
Never mind the secular folks. Odd isn't it that those who supposedly follow Jesus have little concept of the role the Kingdom plays in defeating what they now partake in, defend and squabble over. It is unfortunate that what Jesus proclaimed to be His only Gospel (good news of the Kingdom) was set aside in favour of another so that man could carry on in the traditional self serving ways, promoting their own will while proclaiming other good news. All this when the truth is that there will come a time the Messiah will say I never knew you, as He ushers in the true Kingdom and eliminates the kingdom of man we presently take sides within. These present day squabbles as our freedoms are pulled out from underneath us will seem foolish as the time comes at our final fall, when we realize we have defended the wrong side all along (let alone sides within it). Time to wake up and get a head start in defending the right Kingdom. Things are moving fast.
